Any five that I haven't heard previously in any form are five that I'm anticipating more than anything.

As far as the ones that I have heard previously, the five I'm looking most forward to are...

Big Tall Wall (both versions)
In A Large Room With No Light
Wally
Crucial
Rebirth of the Flesh

Aside from the songs I've never heard...

It will be really really nice to hear Rebirth, Large Room, Crucial, cosmic Day, and Strange Relationship in perfect quality.

I am very very curious to see if this mix of Crucial has that ghastly reverb that was on the CB version.

I can't really say as I don't know what to expect.

At one point in the early 2000's I downloaded a huge set of Prince outtakes called The Work, skipped through it once and was put off by the bad audio quality in most cases (I am a bit of an audiophile). So I decided not to listen anymore and wait until these outtakes would hopefully be released in their full sonic glory one day.

Fast forward to 2017 and yes, they have finally started coming. Not for the best of reasons unfortunately, it took Prince's death before these outtakes would see an official release. The good thing for me with these outtakes is that I hardly know any of these tracks, it is all new material to me. I am glad I had the patience and self-control to wait it out until I could get to know these songs in the best possible sound quality.

At this point I am most looking forward to the remastered original album, as the original CD transfer of SOTT was poor. I am looking forward to hopefully a great leap forward sonically. So I will stick to 4 tracks from the original SOTT album plus one B-side track:

1. IIWYG

2. The Ballad of Dorothy Parker

3. SOTT

4. Hot Thing

5. Shockadelica (12” long version)

RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

Strive

1) Cosmic Day

2) Forever In My Life (Early Vocal Run-Through)

3) Crucial (Alternate Lyrics)

4) Walkin' In Glory

5) When The Dawn Of The Morning Comes

The snippet of Cosmic Day is something I play alot. FIML and Crucial are two favorites that I look forward to hearing different takes of. Walkin' In Glory and When The Dawn Of The Morning Comes are songs I've heard about but it will be very interesting to finally hear for myself.

"Rebirth of the Flesh" (not because it's a particularly good song, but to have the Camille album studio versions fully released)

"All My Dreams" (although I'm disappointed it doesn't have "Old Friends 4 Sale" on the front end as originally sequenced)

"In A Large Room With No Light" (it's a bit like "17 Days" where it's a song in search of an album)

"Train" (always a favorite from Mavis & Prince)

"I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man" 1979 Version (just anxious to hear this one)

And really, Dorothy Parker w/ horns, early fun of Forever in my life, too.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I don't know how old you are, but when I first started listening to bootlegs, they were on what sounded like 8th generation cassettes, that I got from a guy in an ad in the back of Rolling Stone magazine. They were mostly bad quality. So, by the time I heard The Work, with rare exception, that stuff sounded so good to my ears, that I thought it was some of the best shit I had ever heard, in terms of bootleg quality audio.

But I get what you're saying, and I commend you for your patience. I have to admit, it's been a treat to hear songs I have never heard before. But I can't imagine hearing all of this stuff for the very first time...

Obviously I'm looking forward most to the songs I've never heard before but I will give you the 5 I already know that I'm looking forward to.

All my dreams - I teared up when I saw this was on the set. One of the first boots I ever heard and have loved it since. I can't wait to hear a good quality version!

Wally - Of the recent bootlegs this is a favorite. His emotion and how the music plays in to the emotion just makes it a magical song! Can't wait to hear how the quality sounds on this one.

Eggplant (Prince vocals) - OK I never heard this version but love the version I have heard. Love how silly and playful it is. It'll be interesting to hear Prince singing it.

Cosmic Day - Of course I've only heard the snippet. Take that elite collectors!!!

A Place In Heaven (Prince vocals) - Like All My Dreams, it is one of the first boots I ever heard. Wonderful song. Just wondering if the part about environmental records will be on the intro. lol

Honorable mentions: Cocoa Boys, Emotional Pump, Adonis & Bathsheba

1) Cosmic Day - that's the 1 that almost had me emotional when I read it, such a cute, peppy song n with respect 2 the booters, they ain't have 2 b teasing us time n again lol.

2) Walkin in Glory
3) Blanche
4) It Be's
5) When the Dawn

Basically anything I haven't heard, but everything really. Kinda anxious 2 hear how he flipped Big Tall Wall. Can't imagine it as a song about a "positive, loving relationship" from what I've always heard, but we'll see lol pray.
For all time I am with you, you are with me.

I was gonna say.

And frankly, I could not care less about HitNRun3, if it exists, another 3rd Eye album (Plectrum was marginally interesting, at best, and that's being liberal).

And no one's dishonoring him. Sit down w/ that nonsense.

Some of the vault tracks I have heard and some I have not. Are any that are new and have never seen the light of day?

i think about a dozen of the tracks on this release have not circulated amongst us regular fans.

what traders have heard would be interesting to know.

did a track like "It Be's Like That Sometimes" come out of the blue for them, too? or is it just
another track that they already had?

also, are these traders excited about a release like SOTT SD? or do they not care that much,
given that they already have a lot of these tracks (possibly in better quality than what we are
listening to, for now) ?

than again, i think that these people would go nuts over something new they never heard of
or listened to before, just like the rest of us.

Who cares about the 'elite' collectors, their secret cache of songs is slowly dwindling away and losing their power. I know they have alternate early mixes but who really cares about that once the 'final' versions have been released. Although I do prefer the bootleg of 100MPH and Baby You're a Trip!!! Ideally the elite hoarders will release everything in best quality and that's the end of it!

My beloved In A Large Room With No Lights it's in the first place

Wally is in second place, then All My Dreams then Shockadelica and Walk In Glory if only for the title
