Latter day vinyl/cd reissues

Hi all, just wondering if anyone can advise me about purchasing some albums/reissues from the last decade or so that I missed out on first time round.

Firstly, am looking to purchase HitnRun Phase Two on vinyl but can't find it anywhere. Was it ever released on vinyl, and is it likely to be reissued in the forseeable future? I've seen Phase One and Art Official Age so imagine it was.

Secondly, Lotusflower and MPLSound - are these out of print? Are they likely to be reissued on vinyl any time soon? I'm tempted to buy them on CD from eBay (going for crazy prices on

vinyl), but would prefer to have them on vinyl, particularly for the artwork of MPLSound - I would also like to have MPLSound separately for this reason.

Finally, Indigo Nights. It's quite expensive on eBay, but I really like some of the tracks like The One and think it's worth owning. Should I bother holding out for a more reasonably priced reissue that may never happen?

So difficult keeping up with P's discography.. especially in two formats!

Neither HnR Phase I or II have been released on vinyl yet. I'm sure they'll show up at a reasonable reissue price soon.

Yep, those two, and Lotusflow3r on vinyl are fan made, not official.

Check Discogs.com for official formats.

Indigo Nights can't be that expensive. They're in plethora everywhere. Even I own two copies, $5 each. Look on Discogs.

The Sony Legacy reissues are not remasters. So if you're going for that stuff, just get the CD, or a copy of the original vinyl (again, Discogs is a decent place to start). Make a list, and work your way thru it. There's too much to commit to memory.

Not quite right, I don’t think.

There has been at least one official vinyl issue of Lofusflower/MPLSound on vinyl.

I have a French issue of the two which is by NPG Records. I think there was another official issue of it as well?

It’s true though, that neither Hit’n’Run album has been issued on vinyl officially yet. Nor has Indigo Nights for that matter.
It’s possible they will be issued in the future.

Perhaps not "remasters" but I've read numerous posts here from people claiming they're superior masters than the CDs (e.g. non-brickwalled).

Hi.

Imo, one of the best ways to check if a particular album was officially released on vinyl or any other format is by checking https://www.princevault.c...iscography and https://www.princevault.c...All_Albums

You can then click on the chosen album and scroll down for any relevant information.

Thanks for the replies everyone, much appreciated. Some handy resources there, I'll give it some further thought. Probably worth holding out for the vinyl for Phase Two and Lotusflower/MPLSound.

There is a legit Lotus/MPLS vinyl set available, I bought mine on Amazon. There was a misprint issue where one side repeated. I'd noticed several people had the same issue. When I elevated it, they refunded me, immediately removed the listing and months later it came back and it was correct.

I wouldn't argue with that. I've not purchased any of the Legacy vinyl sets, just newer stuff.

Is that an officlal release? Seriously asking. I saw that and some other weird label coupled with NPG Records. I mean, if you own it I guess it is. Maybe they worked with an indie label in France to distribute it or something?

It's official. You'll find it at the bottom of the page here:

Be careful with Lotusflower on vinyl - the early pressings had an error which duplicated one of the sides, so you missed a bunch of songs. Fixed with the later revision.

After reading your comment I checked my vinyl copy of phase 2. I always thought this was an official one because I bought it in our Fnac store in Belgium. It's a 2 coulered vinyl edition and it says:
Prince records inc. Made in Australia. For promo only and not for sale.

Never noticed that until now.
