Or, some people just need to learn to unclinch and not be so super sensitive.

Conversely, some people here could afford to be more sensitive and patient in dealing with people. If providing info is such a burden that one loses the will to be kind to newcomers,

The threadstarter isn't a newcomer.

Complete? At 3:56?

The whole thing is on there and what got me to notice it is when I went on YouTube Music and went on "official" Prince albums the "Deliverance" EP was like the third or fourth choice; extremely prominent for anyone who simply was looking for Prince albums.

I see 2 others definitely not masquerading as official at 16:01, for an EP under 4:00 it's really short.
Time keeps on slipping into the future...

This moment is all there is...

An algorithm will surface videos to you when you launch the YouTube app or if you're watching a video it will surface suggestions for other videos to watch. An algorithm isn't going to place a video on someone's channel. So either the Estate uploaded it or it got there by mistake (not sure how) and they didn't catch it.

If the metadata matches the artist, you can pretty much out anything up with a digital distributor. It's the estate's/label's job to get it pulled.
For example, there is a rapper by the name of "Prince" who's been doing this for a couple of years now and, sometimes, if I ask my smart speaker to play Prince, it'll play the rapper's music.
So, yes, it's algorithm and negligence by the labels or estate that continues to allow this.

Okay, but who cares?

I thought everyone who wanted that EP hasd it already.... why would anyone need it to be on YouTube?

I almost never use YouTube... but I guess some folks use it a lot, or even depend on it for music? eek

You're missing out then. It's been the most accesible resource for hearing unreleased, live, hard to find Prince music, even when he was alive and it was getting flagged.

I think it's a healthy way to preview things, love Prince and get excited about the official releases.

Most people heard Deliverance through Youtube first, where it was dropped on release. Since it wasn't a sanctioned release, and got pulled anyway, it makes sense it still has a life on Youtube.
