Looks like the estate is selling the land across the street from Paisley Park. Just saw a sign saying available for development on the property.

Wasn't that owned by the charity or am I thinking of something else?

Welcome to "the org", Mumio…they can have you, but I'll have your love in the end nod

Without doing any research and relying solely on memory, I believe you are correct. If my memory serves me correctly, that land is owned by Love4oneanother charity, and always has been. (Sorry I always thought P did that to evade his tax burden.)

.

There could be huge tax implications. I assume, the ‘charity’ would have to ‘sell it to the ‘estate’ in order for title to transfer. But more interesting … {legal minds jump in here}…. if the a charity does not file tax returns for a certain number of years then it no longer qualifies as a charity. What did that mean to the ownership of the property? Why after all these years after P's passing is it for sale?

.

Did the family sell the property to themselves for pennies and are now selling it for a heafty profit? By the way, I think Kirk is on the paperwork/board of L4OA, but not positive.

.

I hope someone untangles this puzzle. Quite interesting.

.

cheers!

Yeah I'm pretty sure it was owned by the charity. I wonder what will go there. It's next to a daycare center and then behind that is a Pillsbury plant. There's empty land next to it on Hwy 5 that's been for sale for years. I think right now part of that land is a corn field. lol

^^^^ Laytonian speaks the truth.

Also, the wills he had during his marriages were hand written. We have no idea whether the wills were witnessed by two individuals which is required by law.

The Estate attorneys contacted EVERY attorney that represented P. All said they talked to him about drafting a will and he refused.

I dont understand why the org wants to re-hash the will issue again.

Hey Orgers! grouphug I haven't been around much and I've truly missed y'all. Life has just been leading me on my way and I had to see where it would take me. Over the last year, I've become a licensed, bonded and insured Notary Public - Signing Agent for my home state of Michigan.

In doing that I've had to learn and become very proficient in understanding my state laws as they pertain to real estate, wills and trusts. During my many hours, days, weeks and months of training endeavors that I had to partake in, to acquire the proficient understanding that allowed me to become licensed, bonded and insured, I could not help but think of the whole shit-fest here...a lot!

Because there just may be some obscure little old lady's Notary Journal, somewhere out there that holds the key to his every damn wish.

We are not required to keep a Notary Journal in my State.

Really? Not at all? What state do you live in? In my state, we are required by LAW to keep them for no less than 10 years after the lastest entry or the end of the Notary's commission because they are admissible in court.

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.
