Folk forget the real trigger to this whole mess was after Prince signed the contract he was placed in WB Black Music division which cut 2/3rds of his target audience. His music would target R&B stations instead of Top 40.
WB on the surface intended to create a climate in which he would not be able to meet the requirements of the contract. Not to mention the fact that Box Stores like Walmart wouldn't place mass orders that would inflate sales numbers because Prince had the Parental Advisory label on his product.

Looking forward to hearing a less “thin” sound on the new remasters.

I haven't read up on the whole agreement between the Estate and WB/Sony, but what are the chances of an expanded re-issue of Diamonds and Pearls in 2021? The album does turn 30 next year and, obviously, has some very big hits on it while, no doubt, offering some vault gems for fans.
