Yeah of course it's a typo. Shouldn't happen though.

I also wonder if Cocoa Boys is a typo as well, and if "Vault" is a typo since on 1999 Deluxe it was "Vault Tracks".

It is 'Cocoa Boys', contrary to what I said before. There are two mixdown tapes with clearly visible titles that say 'Cocoa'.

The SOTT Vault discs are actually titled 'Vault Tracks I', 'Vault Tracks II' and 'Vault Tracks III'.

Friends don't let friends clap on 1 and 3.

simon1969	Listening to Witness in this quality I am amazed that he decided to keep it in the vault and not use it. Cant wait to hear the rest especially "In a large room with no light" which I first had on cassette when it used to be incorrectly labelled "Welcome 2 the ratrace"

I'm guessing we're also going to get (besides the already announced SDE preview) a Jon Bream article on the set, and likely also a preview by The Current. IIRC we got a couple of articles on 1999 SD shortly after its announcement from those sources.

It's gonna be a looooong three months waiting for this set. Let's hope they've got some intermediary releases to bridge that wait.

(Maybe that will give the Org admins the time to finally put this thread on the front page.)

Honestly! I must have checked a dozen times yesterday. They were slow on the uptake with the One Nite Alone reissue as well.

I just managed to find a copy of the good old Jewell Box bootleg and while Crystal Ball (7'' Mix) is 3:29, the old bootleg is 4:12, indicating it was likely to be a fake fanmade edit and not at all what we're about to get. I'm intrigued now nod

Wow man good catch! Both me and Pvault had missed that one (and M. Howe may have as well since it's not on the mixes CD!! I really wonder if the new single is an attempt to recreate this or a coincidence). I put it on the list of things to add on the website!!

This means the promo likely features a specific, different edit of Adore from the one on The Hits. The written length is different for one thing, and also I think these foreign edits were made locally without Prince or WB US being even aware of them. This also means it's very likely the edit on the reissue is the one from 1993 not that one. I'm not even sure if the masters for these occasional odd foreign releases can be located, I guess the edits would have to be recreated or needledrops. Suspense suspense...

If he was involved, it seems like it could’ve been more of a statement to release The Cross as a single in South Africa, considering what was going on there at the time.

Interesting about the SOTT Film. You'd think the rights holders missed an opportunity to make some $$ here. I'm fairly certain it would be selling quite well in anticipation of this release

The version that, to quote Neversin, " is just Prince's tape he didn't consider finished and made him mad as fuck when it leaked and found their way onto bootlegs"? I'm all for releasing songs in progress but maybe we need to stop calling them "versions," as if they're different recordings.
