It's so expensive ... I already have the 2 CD of the album, the pic and sound quality of the 2 previous dvd's on purple rain and 1999 were horrible, so I guess it's gonna be horrible too on this dvd, there will be 3 cd of unreleased materials, 2 cd of live so 5 cd's of interesting things and the long versions of la la la hee hee hee and shockadelica on the third cd ... Ok so 150 € for 5 cd's, it means 30 € for each cd !!! It's the most expensive thing I've ever seen in musical industry, I feel like I'm being consiedered as a pigeon ...

I have seen many box sets for this price and even more (Locked and Loaded box set from Guns N' Roses was 1k when it first went on sale)


Ultimately considering this is a limited physical release that won't be reprinted, I would consider it just as much a collector's item to treasure just as much as getting it for the music on the disks

Kind of wish the box art for the SDE was what they're using for the single collection. Love that peach with the peace sign.

Also - Assuming the SDE vinyl will come with digital download. Can anyone confirm that's the case?

Not only for the original price, but also for the quality/price relation.

Being one of my Top 5 P song, one of the track I'm more interested in is "Crucial (Alternate Lyrics)".

I would be no surprised to discover that this is actually the uncut full version of the edit released on BFTP 4. If I'm right, it is "guitar version" and not "sax version".
But we'll see, I'm ready for everything.

Wow. I'm really impressed with whomever is making the decisions in regards to Prince's estate.

Seems to verify that the descriptions of the vault were not exaggerated. I'm wondering if there's just so much stuff that they have no problem with the steady releases, or if they're trying to get a lot out the door now while there's more demand.

Sign' is probably my favorite Prince release, so I'm super-stoked for this.

Why can't they have paper sleeves for CDs in cardboard cases the way vinyl does?

The vinyl 1999 SDE has extrsa sleeve artwork not on the CD version, like images of the VAGINA tape box, and others on the vinyl sleeves.

I think they'd show them. Hope I'm wrong but we'll see. Wouldn't be the end of the world, though - my a-ha 'Hunting High and Low' SDE has the discs in the book pages, and it works pretty good.

Just don't wanna see people freak out is all.

$150 is a lot of money to some people but to say this mammoth package is not "worth" $150 is absurd. Many people feel this was the pinnacle of Prince's career and it seems like they are giving us every track they can because this is their last meal on SOTT. This literally the best deluxe release I've had an interest in

Damn...start a "Go Fund Me" page then and stop whining. $150 isn't a lot of money for what you'll be getting. Sure, a Bentley is expensive. But it's a fucking BENTLEY!! My advice...go get a summer job and save up for September...
