Gotta Shake

Anyone know who the female voice is in the background of U Gotta Shake Something? She says things like "Take it there, honey". Sheila E is the only female vocalist credited, but it doesn't sound like her to me. I've heard this voice on other recordings, so maybe it is her. Confirmation?

I’ve grown to like ‘Shake’ (The Time), it’s reminiscent of another song by another artist that I can’t remember at present. I remember Prince playing it at a sound check for club members at Hammersmith Apollo and he didn’t get a great reaction and said something along the lines of “oh so this wasn’t a hit over here?” I think it must of done better stateside as a single?

It sounds like Sheila to me. LOVE this. I can't really compare it to the Time's song which I don't hate, but don't love like this version! love

Eric Leeds interview.
At Minute 96:25 he's asked about "Gotta Shake..."
He says it was done by Prince, Sheila, Levi and Eric.
(And the fun fact btw is that Prince was drunk during the recording.)

So, if there is another female voice it must have been added later.

Yes that's the one!!!! thanks!

PS The Shake! (12" Boom Mix) features the laughing samples and similar drum pattern that would later be used on the song 7.
