this is probably the right answer.

Pair the two, add b-sides & 12" mixes, include a concert & some vault stuff. Could get to 4/5 CDs easy.

Take the Lovesexy artwork & change the background from white to black. Project done.

Until he got his home studio, he wasn't able to put down all of his ideas (because studio time wasn't free).

I could see them bundling the older albums (pre-1999) remastered & selling them together, due to a lack of B-sides, vaults, & concerts they can include.

an NPG deluxe box set with Diamonds and Pearls, Love Symbol, Madhouse 24 (1993), The Undertaker and unreleased material and 3 concerts (d&p tour and acts 1 & 2 tours)

I would love to hear them re-do The Black Album. There are moments on that album that must be heard ...totally buried. Le Grind has so many piano bits and bass parts that I'd love to hear more clearly.

The fact that the estate is sleeping on this release, makes them suck, imo.

1988/89, months and months of filmed rehearsals, concerts, aftershows, and all we got was a 9 minute documentary called Musical Portrait???

Would it even be possible to do deluxe versions of albums like AWIAD, Dirty Mind, Controversy and Lovesexy? Based what people have written on this site, from 2021 Sony will have the rights to these albums but Warners will still have the rights to the vault tracks. So Sony could re-release the albums with B-sides etc, but that's it. I'm sure there are people here who could clarify this more than me though.

But they haven't seemed to want to work together for SOTT, hence the absence of tracks like Dream Factory and Movie Star.

I never saw a source for this Vault/WB thing. Might have missed it, but I think it's just a made-up story. Other lies have been told so often they've become true on this site. I really don't see why WB would keep the Vault stuff, it makes no bloody sense (the 2021 deadline seems to come from the 2014 contract and have nothing to do with the Legacy deal per se).

I think after 2021 The Estate will be full owner of the vault material and WB only of the soundtrack records, so if Sony or WB wants to release further special editions they will have to ask the Estate for more material than what is already released.

Yes. And to be specific WB does not own the ost's anymore, they just have an permanent (?) hold on distribution rights.

Ah ok, well that's not so bad so they always have to go through The Estate first to release something special which sounds like a good thing. This way we probably won't get endless releases with just one extra new outtake. So we won;t end up with 12 Purple Rain albums all with just 1 or 2 extra outtakes.
