How many different versions of the LOVESEXY CD feature all of the songs on 1 single track?

That is including USA, imports, any and ALL CDs. I am ONLY talking about CDs and nothing else. Not cassettes or vinyl or anything else.

A better question may be "how many versions of Lovesexy are there?" I only say that (with a smirk) because I found one that I never knew existed. I don't know how a disk of one long track could really differ from another. A track is a track is a track.

I have the regular one-track version, and I happened across a tracked one for radio that had a fade at the end of every song - even songs with a definite ending. Sorta annoying listening to it, but who knew it existed? I never did. I think it's the German pressing that is tracked with no edits to the songs.

The odd thing about the tracked/fade CD I have is that if it's for radio (and why the hell else would there be a fade on the end of every single track if it wasn't) is that there is no promo type imprint on it. It just looks like any other CD, minus the statement that "all songs are in a continuous sequence" on the back.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Here's the tracked one I have.

I'm not sure about the German thing now. Discogs does note that there was a 1990 reissue, and all reissues were tracked. Everything on CD up to that was one continuous sequence.

Made in Germany
Songs are in a continuous sequence

The CD says that, or the case? I’m sure there are USA-released CDs that are pressed in Germany.

Both the CD and the insert in the back of the case have both USA and Germany on them. Very strange.

Wow, someone on discogs is asking $225 for this?!
I bought this fade-out version (including the DJ notice sticker) from someone on here who was selling a few of these for $10. Is it really that rare that someone can ask $225 for it??

That is the same as saying that you are not accurate as people like you provide info to discogs.com.

When discovering an error, think about fixing it.

Believe it or not, I lucked up several years ago and found a tracked vinyl pressing AND it was a promo copy! Pristine condition, I copped it for like $6 at a record show. It was obvious the dealer had no idea what he was selling. I paid my money and thought to myself "Sucker... you have NO idea what you just got rid of." (LOL)

Go to discogs and enter the UPC code or the catalog number. It'll come up.

WTF is a tracked vinyl pressing?? confuse

Anyway, you'd be hard pressed to find an untracked version over here (UK/Ireland), I suppose I haven't gone and checked but if you buy it new in a store it'll be tracked.

I have two CD versions released and bought in the UK. Originally purchased one, probably in the mid 90's and that was one continuous track. Years later I found out that it was re-released as a tracked version and bought another copy hoping it would be the tracked version and it was. So yeah, I think you are correct when you say that you'll most likely only find tracked versions over here.

RIP sad

I was gonna say, how you trackin' a damn record? LOL

But if that's the case w/ the fades, it sounds like the CD I have where there's a fade on every single track.

Let's not confuse that with the CD just having separate tracks in general but the mixes are all the same, no fades, etc.

IMO, it was just a stupid move to have it all as one track. I had the cassette first, so I didn't know about that nonsense for a while before I finally got the CD. I was like "What the FFUUQQ?!?!" I was mad. haha

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

The one track quirk never made much difference to me since I always play all my albums from start to finish anyway. That's how I like to listen to them--as singular cohesive statements.
