So Housequake posted this pic on their twitter, and had the following questions:


Does anyone know where this photo was taken? We think it might be Brussels but we are not sure about that.

Does anyone have this photo in bigger format?

Do you know of any other Parade Tour photos where Prince played this guitar?

This is a tricky one.

It looks like the same stage position for the frequent guitar work at the end of Head/Electric man, but I never remember him using anything other than the purple 'flower' guitar.

Also, he's wearing purple, in what was the 'outfit 3' section of the show. I've never seen that, so it must be rare. 9 times out of the ten it was black or white (both with polkadot waist coats), but I think I recollect him wearing it in teal once or twice.

The picture is a little small, but it looks like he might have sideburns, which might suggest the beginning (USA) or end of of the tour (Japan).

Short answer, I don't know, but if I was to guess, I would suggest First Avenue, as I think he wore purple that night and it might explain the guitar which wasn't on the tour as far as we were aware.

If its known it taken at a European Show, then I'm not sure which one. It's not London, Paris, Stockholm, Rotterdam or Copenhagen or Hamburg.

If it's a soundcheck, that makes a lot of sense.

Vibing from that, I noticed that there aren't a lot of lights on. The main lighting source in the pic is the flash on him (not that he's sitting in the dark or anything). At any point during the show, there'd be a lot of lights, and certainly a lot more folks on stage dancing and being in their positions. Seeing the sparse scene, the idea of it being a soundcheck makes a lot of sense.
