Mononeon is an even better rhythm guitarist, than he is a bassist...if thats even possible...good god that man is super talented

Have you heard him play piano? He can play drums as well but rarely does.

Yeah, I'd been following MonoNeon long before he started with Prince, but I stumbled across DOMi and JD Beck a month or so ago and they're the nuts (what a drummer!). Along with people like Louis Cole, there's some serious young talent out there - Prince needn't have worried about the fate of musicianship.

I love Louis Cole's stuff. Don't forget Jacob Collier. Check out his latest track In My Bones with Kimbra, Tank and the Bangas and MonoNeon on bass. https://www.youtube.com/w...-KrhH8ndXg Another great group is Dirty Loops. Alo lot of pop sensibilities mixed with high level musicianship. https://www.youtube.com/w...Yc5zrXC52k [Edited 5/13/20 20:57pm]

I recognise his brilliance (especially as a musical theorist), but I've really struggled to like Jacob Collier's stuff to date. I'm not sure what it is... it's all a bit polite for me.

Love MonoNeon. Saw him at Jazz Fest 2018. Tank & the Bangas are a homegrown fav. Thanks for all the links. "if you can't clap on the one, then don't clap at all"

Mono is funky! That dude can play FAST! He moves his hands so fast at times, I'd swear I was watching it in fast forward play!
I like his Manifesto at the end of the Slum Village rhythmn guitar fest! His stuff is encouraging to a neophyte at music like myself.
