I guess I just don't get it, because even if I had that kind of money to spend on a guitar once played or owned by Prince, why would I want to? I mean, it's not like Prince himself is going to magically appear and strum the thing! To me, all it would be is a $100,000 dust collector that you could brag about owning on social media, and showing off to others.....I guess some might get some sort of thrill out of that, but it doesn't do a thing for me. In the end, these things are meaningless, I guess that's why you can't take them with you when you die.
Good for you. Although, if you have the cash you or someone could own a piece of history. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment |

I'd much prefer to own the $100,000 instead. |

The other auctioned off blue guitar (with the radio dial knobs instead of the Fender bass knobs) also had the same (lighter) blue as The Blue Angel so I think there may have been more. I still wonder about the Peach cloud given by Prince along with one of his Peach/Orange SOTT suits (that was used as a main price for some tobacco company contest and was used along woith the guitar in the commercial for it) to someone in The Netherlands.

I don't know where they got that price, it appears to be nothing more than the ones sold at Paisley Park. It has the stubby headstock and all.Not sure if I am missing something here but it appears to be a scam. https://ultimateclassicro...e-auction/
Actually, that's wrong. It clearly states it was owned by Prince. Nowhere does it say it's a replica, neither in the article you posted or the auction site itself.
Julien's Auctions is far from a scam. Here's the link to the actual auction: https://www.juliensauctio...ion?id=307
"Highlights include: a custom-made 1984 blue cloud guitar used by Prince"
Julien's has auctions Prince stuff before, and I have the books of Prince stuff in them to prove it (as does their site). A friend went to one of the previous auctions from a few short years ago.
All I know is, if Paisley Park decides 2 sell a cheaper replica of that sweet guitar, I'll be 1st in line. |

.
They have been selling replicas (on and off) for two decades.
