Still Would Stand All Time So, I listened to the Graffiti Bridge album for the first time in a while this morning. Four years after our hero's death. I miss the annual album, the extraordinary live performances and the general online buzz. I was just wondering what Prince would think about current world events and Still Would Stand All Time came on. It felt like a message. Anyone else experiencing strange 'synchronicities' today? I'd love to hear about them. Let's keep the spirit alive and remain open to the lingering messages of the music πββ€

Still on my first cup of coffee, Mack, so no synchronicities yet. If I had some starfish, maple syrup, jam, butterscotch clouds, tangerine and a side order of ham to go alone with my coffee, then I could join you in synchronicities, but for some reason, my local grocers never seem to have starfish and butterscotch clouds on hand. Maybe others will chime in with more relevant information. I just wanted to reply because I know today will be hard for all of us.

Cindy, where is "here"? If that's not too personal somehow.

Yes, nothing wrong with a bit of lightheartedness on a heavy day π thanks for your comments, have a great day ββ€ [Edited 4/21/20 7:58am]

I have a lot of Prince music on my phone. This morning I was reading something on my phone, and out of nowhere 'Moonbeam Levels' started playing. I'm sure I accidentally pressed an app on my phone or something, but it still made me smile. Does that count?

No, nothing strange, but I happen to love Still Would Stand All Time, it's high on my list of favorites, and I'm glad you mentioned it.

One of my favorite songs after Free, 17 Days.... I watched again Graffiti Bridge but I must admit that's really bad (I love UTCM). What the hell was Prince thinking? We can say that it's a bunch of music videos & thus ok.

Is that unusual? I've seen it rain, snow and gale force wind in Gateshead in a single day! Especially in April! Who am I kidding? That can also happen in the summer here π€£ππ€£ I'm not sure about Cleveland's climate though....π€

Two other favourite songs of mine, we must share similar tastes! I watched Graffiti Bridge last year, and hmmm, I'd rather just listen to the music! I might watch Under the Cherry Moon again soon because I haven't seen it in a while, cheers πββ€

it's not too unusual in cleveland. every now and then it'll snow here in april but it's just the coincidence of it snowing on the day Prince left and also the day when he recorded the song plus it was nice outside the day before and then the next day it snows. As it happens, the weather has been glorious....typical π well, at least everyone is being sensible πββ€

Still Would Stand All Time... a great title to describe himself and his music.

I miss the way he used to mess with categories and expectations though. I remember the awesome guitar solo he did in Nothing Compares 2 U live at Birmingham. I'd have loved to have heard a live rendition of this but sadly never didπ Thanks for commenting and reminding me of his ability to defy convention, cheers πββ€
