What’s your favorite live version of I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man? I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man is one of my favorite Prince songs. I love it because it's amazing uptempo electric or acoustic and slowed down. What is your favorite live version? It's hard for me to choose but right now I'm leaning towards the P&M version. 💜

Definite contender for my favourite Prince song, but I think the best version is the album version. The hook is so powerful, the solo so atmospheric and funky.

As with many of his classics, the 3EG reinvention is my favorite. I Love U, But I Don't Trust U Anymore...

It's funny, I have always loved this song. I remember hearing it before the release of the album on the radio here in Minneapolis. They played the entire album over the radio pre-release.
Anyway, after P's passing, I became obsessed to a degree with buying or collecting every recording. I collected a massive amount....too much to listen to at first. I started organizing and cleaning up the digital versions and came across the acoustic version of P playing with just him on a Piano. Hearing this song slowed down and moody gave me goosebumps. It was like hearing it for the first time again. THAT version....and the other solo performances of Prince with this track are my favorites. Pheromone make a ni**a go crazy
