It's pretty good isn't it? I mean Endorphinemachine, like rocks, definitely, like one of his best songs on wax of the 90s.

Close run thing between tGE and
But those 2 are miles ahead of the rest (IMHO) These also happen to be my favourite 2 of ALL of his albums. L [This message was edited Tue Apr 22 4:12:39 PDT 2003 by Levi] I'm just, I'm just Levi from the org

Im gonna play Devil's Advocate here - I think Emancipation actually stands up the best out of all those albums - I rate Gold Experience as His best o(+> album although, STILL (4 the life of me) cant understand why He decided 2 pull such a phat joint as 'Days of Wild' - strange. I know he said it didnt fit inbetween Interactive and Endorphinmachine, but come on!
I can remember back in 1993 when i first experienced him play 'Endorphinmachine' I just went: Amazing 2 see that He could still give those rock bands a run 4 their money! But...when all is said and done, 4 me - EmancipatioN just totally still holds up as an amazing piece of wrok - I LOVE the vibe on that album. Discuss!

I must be about the only person who doesn't like Days Of Wild - even the die-hards who love the Revolution era seem to love that track, I think it's a total snooze-fest.

Discuss! i'd like to comment on the ommission of days of wild from gold. my speculation is that 1) prince decided to keep it for himself. in general, he probably saw the release of gold through WB as a concession of sorts. so holding back one killer track was his way of retaining something 2) the language! including days of wild would have warranted a sticker for parental advisory. now i don't know why he would have wanted to do that in '95, maybe it was the decision of WB. remember, when the album finally came out, pussy control became p control, and it had no lyrics printed. don't laugh, but albums sometimes get warning stickers based on the printed lyrics, not necessarily on the content. he even has mayte announce in spanish that the program will begin shortly after this special announcement, thus making p control not officially part of the album! i think it was a way of avoiding the whole lyrics thing. just my speculation, mind you. Yeah, I'd say it's my favorite of the 90s, with symbol close behind. That whole era was when I started getting into Prince, so I'm a little biased. But whenever he performed this material on TV between 93 and 95, it was just really amazing to me. I loved his badass attitude back then and his look during that period. He just freakin' rocked hard back then.

Yeah...I agree, Gold is a great album and is definitely the best of the 90s. Nothing during the 90s approaches it in terms of quality tunes and Symbol blows taco farts
Top 5 albums of the 90s? 1) TGE 2) Exodus 3) Come 4) Emancipation (for the 2nd disc alone) 5) Crystal Ball

I think it was his last perfect album. In fact, I think it's the only album of the 90's that I like all the way through. "Lovesexy", "Sign", "Parade" and "TRC" are the only other albums that I like all the way through. I think "TRC" is pretty close to perfect but it loses points with me because of it's blatant preaching and it's exclusionary vibe.
