My Top 3

1. Little Red Corvette (Dance Mix)

2. She's Always In My Hair (12")

3. Shockadelica

Shockadelica is just great, can't wrap my head around the fact that it was left out of the album. This song needed a guitar in the middle the kind of guitar that Dark has got in the ending or so.

Also, let's be clear: there is only one version of Alexa de Paris. Can it really be "extended" if there's no "regular" version of it?

What's the difference.

The 7” version of Alexa de Paris is 3 minutes 20 seconds in length, the 12 ‘extended version’ is 4 minutes 54 seconds in length.

The bit from 2.02 till 3.56 is missing from the 7” version.

I'd say the extended/full-length version of Pop Life is my number 1. The Fresh Dance remix is fine but I never reach for it. Mountains is up there but the join between the song and the jam kinda bugs me.

Yeah for sure, I would have put Shockadelica on SOTT instead of 'It'. I think he could have added some more guitar too, maybe add some extra funk to the track.

The guitar shoud have been more in the front of the mix, but what I was talkin about it's that it needed a country kind of sound country funk number if you like.

Well, I did get the soundtrack version from Amazon. It's about 10 seconds longer than the version on Crystal Ball.

LOL no, CD's don't skip ripping a song for copyright. All my CB stuff ripped just fine. Try it again. Unless you just wanna keep buying the same thing over and over.

The CD soundtrack version is :38 longer (5:10 vs. 4:32 on Crystal Ball before the track goes to unrelated sound effects)

Fun fact - on the 7" version, the part from 2:01 - 2:22 (which is otherwise unrepresented on the 12" version) is a repeat of the part from 1:05 - 1:26. It's the exact same piece spliced in to mask the edited portion from the 12" verion. Think about it - the 12" (at 4:54) is 1:34 longer than the 7" (which is 3:20), yet the missing portion is 1:54 (which if edited onto a 3:20 song would produce a total time of 5:14). To mask the edit, the main bridge from the first verse was repeated.

Oops, you're right! I had the 10 from 5:10 stuck in my head and posted that instead of the real time extension. smile

Just to be technical: the only version of "Do Me, Baby" that is long is the album version, which makes it the original version not a longer cut or take. Sure, it's a long song, but there is no longer version than the damn-near 8 minute album version. The only different version, besides any 7" edit, is the original one with Andre Cymone's vocals.

This experience will cover courtship, sex, commitment, fetishes, loneliness, vindication, love, and hate.
