Yeah I guess it's just sinking in for RD. But even all of P's associates from back in the day state that he was always a bit of a prude... that the outrageousness was a bit contrived. To a degree the shock was schtick. People grow and look back at things they did in the past sometimes with pride, other times with embarrassment, shame, or ambivalence. Some things we don't see the value in repeating or continuing.
