but was very disappointed to find there's the balance between 80s and 90s is too skewed towards the 90s, would love to have heard more earlier unreleased stuff.

When I first heard of it being sold in stores, I was stoked. (At the time that Prince released it, I didn't have a computer or any kind of internet access readily available.) Usually, I buy his cds on sight, but this instance, I gave it a quick listen to at the sound booth. Most of what I heard sounded like retreads and that kinda turned me off. The price was kinda steep, but I wouldn't have hesitated if the discs really blew me away. At the time, the songs just didn't do it for me, so I backed off it. My attitude has changed, though. I haven't been on this board that long, and I must say that I am impresssed with the Prince catalog most of you have. There's no way that I can get all of the bootlegs you guys have, but I think I'm missing out by not having Crystal Ball in my collection. Ebay, here I come.

i actually had 2 copies of crystal ball both from new funk. they messed up my order and i got charged for it twice(its a long story as to why this happend) i love the truth though. i gave my extra copy 2 a friend recently who never was into prince. he really digs the cb set though..hehe peace all

I don't have it. I can't find it in any stores. Used stores don't have it, cd megastores don't have it, and I can't buy anything online.

I'm still waiting to receive mine in the mail. 1-800-NEW-FUNK won't return my calls.

Hmmm. Ive seen these in the Used section in stores all over L.A. If anybody is in L.A. , try Amoeba they're massive.

u c, i live in Belgium, and it's hard to find any good record stores who sell more than just typical top 20 albums. I tried to order Crystall ball, but it wasn't possible.

Every now and then, i rent C.B from the library .. always a sad moment when i return it.

Yes it has! i was surprised 2. I didn't expect them to have that album. Maybe someone who works there is a Prince fan.
