There was an interview about this on one of the SOTT The Movie re-release articles.
Can’t remember if it was a film producer or what
But he spoke of the miming and saying that they actually had a storyline!

Sorry but can’t remember which article it was.

I forget his name too but he's interviewed on the blu-ray extras - he talks about P miming choosing an album from his collection and putting it on the turntable.

Edit: It was Steve Purcell.
