Sequencing a "Promo Mixes and B-sides" second disc for a Deluxe reissue

This is a little game I came up with. The idea is to try and compile a compilation of single edits, B-sides and 12" mixes with the intendation of being under 80 minutes. Here's the overly-complex list of matching mixes from Diamonds And Pearls, hopefully seprated if a Super Deluxe ever happens with the B-sides disc making the cut in the 2-disc edition:

Disc 1: Album Remixes and Edits

1. Gett Off (Clean Version) - 4:30

2. Gett Off (UK Single Remix) - 4:00

3. Gett Off (Extended Remix) - 8:30

4. Gett Off (Houstyle) - 8:20

5. Gett Off (Houstyle - UK Single Edit) - 4:24

6. Gett Off (Thrust Mix) - 9:28

7. Gett Off (Thrust Mix - UK Promo Edit) - 4:48

8. Gett Off (Flutestmental) - 7:25

(Urge Dub, Rosie's Dub and Flute Instrumental mixes might possibly be included)

9. Diamonds And Pearls (Edit) - 4:20

10. Money Don't Matter 2 Night (Edit) - 4:12

11. Thunder (UK "Early Fade" Promo Edit) - 3:20

Disc 2: B-Sides

1. Horny Pony - 4:17

2. Violet The Organ Grinder - 5:00

3. Gangsta Glam - 6:04

4. Clockin' The Jizz - 5:00

5. Cream (NPG Mix, tracked similar to the UK 12" with the first two segues included) - 6:16

6. Things Have Gotta Change - 3:57

7. 2 The Wire - 3:16

8. Get Some Solo - 1:30

9. Do Your Dance (KC's Remix) - 5:57

10. Housebangers - 4:23

11. Q In Doubt - 4:00

12. Eternal Mix - 4:45

13. "Diamonds And Pearls" B-side "X-cerpt" medley - 5:04

14. Call The Law (Credited to The New Power Generation only) - 4:19

Lose the D&P excerpts, it's not a medley, it's just snippets.

And if the Gett Off Damn Near 10 Min. mix isn't on there then someone needs to be slapped.

Just sayin'....

Agreed. And some of those "Gett Off" mixes are the same, just named differently for US and UK releases.

The Cream EP is delicious, in general.

Never that inyerested in the edit-versions. Might be nice to have, but not something to play imo.

As a completist, I say keep the snippets as one track! It was an official release that way smile

Are they? I know a lot of those version sound awful similar, but their durations is different. The only two that match up in terms of length are Extend Remix and Purple Pump Mix (both at 8:31). Oh, and maybe Thrust Dub and Trust Single Edit (7:24).

Bottom line, I believe a lot of those versions are substantially the same, but I do think there might be very minor differences the results in differnet durations. I've never listened closely enough to figure out what those differences are.

Yeah, just a small handful. Princevault notes those, i believe.
