Maybe the clue to what the 2020 remaster deluxe is was hiding in plain sight? The Originals album cover! It’s also Dirty Mind’s 40th anniversary!! I may be trippin, BUT I WANT A DIRTY MIND DELUXE MORE THAN SOTT AT THE MOMENT |

It would be an interesting release if done right. Dirty Mind is far from being my favorite P album but the music and images from that era was so raw and unrelenting. To hear some of the outtakes from that era in excellent quality would be awesome. |

I would be thrilled with a deluxe remaster of any album from Dirty Mind through Lovesexy ... just put it out ... but more in the vain of the 1999 deluxe remaster than the Purple Rain deluxe remaster. If a man is considered guilty

. Look, they needed an early-1980s pic for the album, and it's not like they've got that much choice. Seeing "signs" into that choice is nonsense. . Also, there doesn't seem to be a wealth of outtakes from that era, and WBR are much more likely to tackle an album where they can make a splash, like SOTT or Parade. © Bart Van Hemelen

I doubt it and Originals is a bit anachronistic in the way that nothing about it is era specific. Dirty Mind cover, tons of PR and ATWIAD shit, Love Thy Will Be Done, etc. | |

No. It’s Diamonds and Pearls. Take a mirror and pop it down vertically after the first two numbers of the last released title and the reflection says 1991 (sort of) and not only is that a nod to the little box with a mirror and a tongue inside but the first single of of 1999 deluxe was International Lover where we’re told as plain as day that we’ll be getting Diamonds and Pearls and that it will be free. If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it! |

Absolute fan favorite for sure DM is, but my money is on SOTT (or mayyyyybe Parade) being the next in line for a deluxe makeover. Sad to say, but DM isnt one of the first records that come to mind if you're a casual fan. Nevertheless, the sky's the limit when it comes time for DM's turn, though. If handled properly, it could be a real cooker. So much great material from around then. Get in your mouse, and get out of here! | |
