The War I've got a 17 minute version of this. Are the last five minutes worth hunting down? Does anything special happen? (guitar solo for instance)

I suspect it will always be a whole lot more than just five minutes shorter... (I'm not the collector type, just a guitar player whose favorite guitarist is Prince)

At the end, it becomes a bit experimental, with a kind of jungle beat (comparable to the drums on Slave...) It's cool, but I think the highlight of the song is the guitar solo (when Prince starts singing 'one for me, one for u/ u preach a lie, not the truth'). 555-4444 you're on coffee talk.

The last five minutes with the tribalesque drumming and
the cymbal snaps [right?] is almost like a completely different instrumental song tagged on at the end. It only goes back into "The War" for the last minute when the chant "12 the evolution will be colorised" comes back again and fades out. Apart from that brontosaural guitar onslaught it is my fav part of the song. Hope you'll be able to hunt it down. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
