Ruth Arzate:

"I made a mention that I loved the Foos and I heard them do 'Darling Nikki' at a show once. He said, 'The Foos are the only band that could do a collection of my rock songs justice.' "

That press conference video...P's expressions, the mischief, the music!

Thanks for posting this article, Bart.

Excerpt --
[Which finally prompted Saltz to go, “What would you do?” He looked at Saltz, and in his normal Prince way, said, “Sir, follow me, please.” And the three of us followed him upstairs into the living room. And the entire band was standing there in position.]

What a great example of how to negotiate... No need to toot your own horn. Let others ask you for your expertise and then blow away even their wildest expectations. Well done. (And that's just the "audition".)

Yes, great article!

I do think and hope Prince will be referenced in some way during Sunday's halftime show.

Also there is a LOT of Prince memorabilia, paintings, etc just 10 miles north of the stadium at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. If anyone is in the area, it's well worth visiting. I have a bunch of pictures already from there and also the Hard Rock in Vegas, good stuff.

I swaer to god the funniest thing about that whole week is watching that press conference with Prince just wrecking shit and all those reporters sitting there quietly and not moving.

I remember being really nervous he was gonna slip in those heels and take a tumble too. That stage looked like wet ice.

That's the good stuff every fan should read!

Thanks for the link!

For me, the most interesting bit was that Prince considered covering NIN eek
