If only there was some kind of search engine where you could investigate before asking. Or some wiki site that might contain information. And it's not like the Org has a search box in ints top right corner.

Man, I have a real life outside here, so I'm asking in a Prince forum to have info from reliable sources without spend time in dispersive google researches. If you have an answer or a reliable link for my question, you are welcome, otherwise: "goodbye".

.

f.

Yeah. Googling is really too much to ask if you have a real life.

The only time I remember him mentioning the music they recorded together was on Facebook on April 21, 2016 when Prince died but maybe he mentioned that music elsewhere, too.

If I were you I´d just ask him on Facebook. As far as I know you can´t send him messages but you can just post a comment or question under his postings.

Ah, the old "I'm interested in X but not enough to do the least effort" excuse.

, so I'm asking in a Prince forum to have info from reliable sources

.

Like the well-respected wiki?

.

Also, those sessions are 20+ years ago. Wat makes you think they haven't been discussed here ad infinitum? Why not search this site's archives? Look, top right of this page. How much easier do people need to make it for you?

.

without spend time in dispersive google researches.

.

How bad are you at Google that the search term "prince jacob armen" gives you bad results? Hell, you haven't even tried.

Dude hasn't even bothered to read PrinceVault or Armen's official website, and you're encouarging to highjack posts on his Facebook page?

Ah, the old "I'm interested in X but not enough to do the least effort" excuse.

.

I have nothing to excuse. This is a Prince forum, you are a user, like me. I have nothing to learn in netiquette from you. I asked if - oblivious after Prince's dead - Jacob told anything about those sessions. If you know a reliable link or a interview, you are welcome, otherwise - again - "goodbye".

.

Like the well-respected wiki?

.

If the "well respected wiki" is Princevault, oblivious is the first place I searched before write here and no, there is no answer for my question.

.

Also, those sessions are 20+ years ago. Wat makes you think they haven't been discussed here ad infinitum?

.

Because Prince is dead, and many musicians are *now* telling more about their older work with Prince.

.

Why not search this site's archives? Look, top right of this page. How much easier do people need to make it for you?

.

I was asking for info NOT INCLUDED in Prince.org. The info I asked for IS NOT in princevault or in prince.org archive.

.

How bad are you at Google that the search term "prince jacob armen" gives you bad results? Hell, you haven't even tried.

.

Are you a Prince.org moderator? I asked for a specific info: have anyone asked Jacob Armen about those recording? After Prince's dead had he revealed something more about it? If Prince.org is a closed circle held by people with social interaction problems, ok put it in a nice disclaimer when opening the site. If it's a place to talk Prince's music pleasantly with other fans, then I will be happy to stay. Hearing lessons from kids who when I started connecting modems and bbs still playing Speak & Spell, well, I really do without it.

I think this kind of pedantic and petty over reaction to fairly harmless questions will ultimately kill this forum/site. Good night

@Bart why give shit to Fabrizio? He's a respectable member of this community, I never saw him troll anyone or post nonsense. There are many other people to give shit to if you're on the hunt for annoying orgers.

And to be fair, while I never looked into the topic in detail, in all these years reading about Prince and his side-projects, I haven't read much about Jacob Armen's possible work with Prince except for what's stated in this thread. Drum Fever sort of popped out of nowhere at the time (I don't think I even knew it was out until about 5 or 6 years later, desipte being on the hunt for everything Prince-related since 1991), P had nothing to do with it and there is very little we know about any later sessions with P unless I'm wrong (and if so please let me know).

How difficult is it to stay on topic? Your reply has nothing to do with the question asked. It's funny you give lectures about using the search box when you don't do it. Remember that Black Album vinyl post a while back that you started? Stop being hypocritical.
I'm surprised your rubbish is tolerated on the org.
Also - Prince most likely read some of your stupid/negative posts over time. That's so freaking embarrassing. You know that? Shame?
Fabrizio asked a specific question. On a topic that is actually interesting.
Either stay on topic or refrain from posting.

For fucks sake. I'm stating the obvious but what a sad and predictable wannabe internet tough guy you appear

.

The guy asked a Prince music related question (quite a rare one at that) on a "Prince fan community site' so what is the problem

I Googled "Prince Jacob Armen" and there isn't anything that specifically answers the question posed in the OP. There is an article where Armen touches on his time with Prince:

https://www.pcccourier.co...hythm.html

And as if gaining attention from Carson himself wasn’t enough, Jacob managed to win over the The Purple One as well, while on a trip to Italy to represent the U.S. in a talent competition. He ended up winning the competition, but what came next was probably a tad more special than that.

“Next thing I know, my brother is calling us, ‘You guys are crazy. What are you doing over there [in Italy], you should be here. Prince called! You know Prince? HE CALLED! HE CALLED!’ We asked him what Prince said and he was like, ‘I don’t know, I hung up on him,’” he says and immediately bursts out in laughter.

Luckily, Prince and his team called back and and told Armen they’d like to fly him out to Minneapolis to meet him.

“He discovered me because we did this show called “The Drum Show.” It was on PBS and it won an Emmy and it constantly aired for years. So, Prince saw that show and the rest is history. I went there and I signed to his NPG record label, and for almost seven years I was under his label and management.”

Under Prince’s label, Armen released his first album at the mere age of 13, an experience he feels was “a perfect scenario” because he was given the freedom to musically express himself, without having to mold into a specific genre. Prince saw pure talent in Armen, stating that Armen was “the most frightening drummer” he had ever heard.

“Prince, having the mind that he had, he was all about not only the arts, but he really was an advocate of pushing those boundaries and allowing yourself to be free musically and expressing yourself,” says Armen. “ I am completely anti-label and anti-anything that just tries to conform you into this little box, I can’t stand it. [Prince] allowed that freedom for me to express all these different genres and styles into one album, which at the time was not normal.”
