Even though I still haven't listened to that song, I have an urge that I'm familar with it. I remember the "all seven-seven" chorus line and the guitar-driven instrumental but still can't figure it out.

Number 1: It was def. not the radio. In Australia, literally all the Love Symbol singles are lost-to-radio, a fact not helped by their exclusion from the 2001 Very Best Of.

Number 2: What if it is the "school disco" that caused it? Piror to 2015, my old school still (mostly) used the same setlist for end-of-term school discos, mostly featuring cliche "dance craze" songs (Barbie Girl and Crazy Frog were always the first two songs). I think I might've heard it few times so this might be the reason, yet the local #25 charting placement doesn't really help it.
