Yep, before it was Koko it was the Electric Ballroom - where he played the 88 aftershow from which the Just My Imagination in the 1988 video profile was sourced (and the entire show was filmed)

The Electric Ballroom also had a record fair every few weeks where I bought a good many bootlegs in the day....

Incorrect. Before KoKo it was called Camden Palace. That is where the Lovesexy aftershow was played. It was also the venue where I last saw him perform. It was a one off Autism Rocks show for charity on 3rd Feb 2015. His final performance in the UK.
Electric Ballroom is a separate venue not far down the road. πŸ’œ
