Suzy Lovelace

So this track that used to circulate on bootlegs as an outtake from The Family, called Suzy Lovelace, what's the story?

I assume it's fake. I mean obviously the track exists, what I mean by "fake' is clearly it's not from The Family and has no involvement by Prince. It doesn't sound like him and it's not listed at PrinceVault.

But iirc, it circulated as such on many bootlegs. I just heard it again on the boot, Studio Nights.

So any body know anything about what this really is?

I knew it wasn't The Family. Prince doesn't even have anything to do with it does he?

Not that we know of, and I'm sure Uptown mag looked into it at the time. It may have been a Mazarati demo. The same Studio Nights bootleg collection also included 2 André Cymone instrumentals that those of us who didn't have his first album at the time also wrongly attributed to Prince.

I was going to ask if it's related to Mazarati's "Suzy", but then I heard it on YouTube. Totally different song--sounds very ominous, like it should be played in a haunted house.
