updated list of comlete list of Prince songs and contributions I have begun working on a complete list of known prince songs, released and unreleased as well as contributions. I started with princevault of course but before i posted the results here I wanted to see if anyone else is already doing this. There is a list on the org from 2005, looking to update it and creating an anthology of all available tracks by letter, with indiviudal track info recording date, album inclusion etc to be included in metadata, anyone else doing this or wanna help, a good way to listen to all the music again!

I'd like to see a list generated that would enable me to see what the entire song catalogue looks like in chronological or rough chronological order by recording date. This is how I arranged his B-sides, compilation tracks and song-writing/production contributions (or all "non-album" releases). You can really hear the evolution in sound/approach track-to-track, it flows naturally. [Edited 12/25/19 10:56am]

I've always just wanted a chronologically ordered list of all known songs (not including remixes, etc), but the best you can do is flip around on PV. Given many tracks don't have specific dates written on the tape boxes, there's a bit of guesswork but still. (And then you have cases like Don't Let Him Fool Ya, which sounds so extremely similar to Dirty Mind that it's unfathomable he recorded it so late in the 1999 era - still not convinced of this until we see copies of the session documents.)

Thx Bart for sharing the link to my site. My list is chronological and as comprehensive as can be but based on release dates not recording dates. Over a decade ago, Scififilmnerd posted a chronological list based on then known recording dates here on the Org, that one can find easily thru a search. Unfortunately that list is now widely outdated given the amount of info that surfaced since, but Scifi said he keeps it updated on his drive and that he will one day get around republishing it. I cross fingers, because his work was a perfect complement to the Pvault database and my release dates based list. The big issue here is that we are only human. Even Duane admitted it was unlikely, if not impossible, for him alone to cover the whole 40 years of Prince career in books in his lifetime given the amount of work it implies. Very sad, just imagine 20 books like his 83/84 sessions book... A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/
