Has “Tuesday” ever been used in Prince’s lyrics?

I was wondering if anyone can tell me if Prince ever sang a song where he mentions Tuesday. For the life of me, I just cannot recall one, and now I’m driving myself crazy wondering if I’ve overlooked something obvious.

I know he scans his computer every Sunday night, laments how manic a Monday can be, urges us to be back by Wednesday, teases that maybe we’ll see him next Thursday night (maybe we won’t, but that’s all right), went to a bar on a lonely Friday night and drives his little red corvette because it’s Saturday night (and I guess that makes it all right).

But I am hard pressed to think of a song where he mentions Tuesday. Is there one?

"Every Day Is A Winding Road" uses:

"She got a daughter she calls Easter (Alright)
She was born on a Tuesday night (She was?)"

Although not his lyrics, it's on his album.

"Wednesday Like A River" by Sheila E. starts with:

"Tuesday I surrender, beneath the willow tree..."

"Cherry Cherry" from New Power Generation says:

"Tuesday was my big game
North vs. Central in basketball"

Tuesday and Blue Tuesday are also referenced in the Lovesexy tourbook. Not lyrics to a song, but lyrics to the concept of Lovesexy.

"I like to watch."

Curious where the curiosity comes from? Or were you trying to figure out if he has mentioned each day of the week?

"You know, this is funky but I wish he'd play like he used to, old scragglyhead son of a...*smack* OOH!"

"Who's the foo singing will it's would"

Sounds like an idea for a playlist based on the days of the week.

There wasn’t anything deep to my question. It was me just trying to see if Prince did indeed use all of the days of the week. Of course, now, it really feels like a question that I should’ve checked on a little harder. I can’t believe that I forgot about “Everyday is a Winding Road”! I have to admit, though, I do the same with the months of the year and his songs.

All right, now I’m just embarrassed. “Everyday is a Winding Road” is a song I should have thought of on my own. Thanks for reminding me.

Thanks! I don’t know that song, but I do recall that title!

She got a movie star attitude the girl can't hide
Jean Harlow n her prime
Looka here
She got a spooky kind of half-moon look n her eyes
Scare a sane man out of his mind
She... she put U n a trance with the scent
Becomin' like a dog n heat
Ow
All the men that touch her came and went
1 kiss but at her feet
Ow

I can't stand a hour away from ur hips
Come Elektra Tuesday ur tongue on my lips
I don't need a vacation, ur love is a trip
And I think my personality about 2 flip, hit me

We got the night
Oh
I got the feelin' n my socks, baby

Listen 2 me
She drive an Aston Martin n violet and white
Sometime she let me washed it down
When it get 2 clean it still smelled like Tuesday night
Babalú when Elektra's around
Fascination will take U when she lay U up on her chest
Maybe Monday-long, hello the Elektra, U the best
But I got 2, I got 2, I got 2 get it on Tuesday, baby
Cuz Friday, huh, that's a little 2 long
Hey

Come Elektra Tuesday, Friday 2 long
Don't U make me wait, don't do me wrong
Uh

Come Elektra Tuesday, Friday 2 long
Come Elektra Tuesday, don't U do me wrong
Come Elektra Tuesday, I want U so strong
Come Elektra Tuesday

Come
Tuesday
U gotta, gotta
I wanna talk a little bit

Her body's so long, I climb it at night
N the hopes I 1 day reach the top
I'll suffer alone 2 know what frightens U
Until that day, till that day I... I won't ever stop

Come Elektra Tuesday
Come Elektra Tuesday
Body much 2 long, I got 2 have U 2night (Come Elektra Tuesday)
I got 2, uh, I got 2 have U 2night (Come Elektra Tuesday)

Hey
Ooh
Come Elektra Tuesday
Till Tuesday
Tuesday
Tuesday

Neither was "Every Day Is A Winding Road."
