You'll have to take my well-researched word for "Divinity"... Yes, weird assortment, but, chances are that the original owner made the tape off of multiple tapes he owned to save space/money or scam potential buyers etc. Or Prince may have done work on "Lisa" at the time... IDK, all the other tracks on it are from 1983 except for "Lisa"... I really need to go back to the book, hahah. It is fascinating to me that these two tracks are so mysterious! Climax has been around forever and was certainly one of the first boots I ever had so I would figure that it should have a bit less guesswork around it - namely, the life of the song and if it ever got vocals etc. But I guess there's only so much one can sleuth out in these, especially now with the man himself gone! I like Divinity a lot, it has always struck me as very weird to call it LUA 2 as it doesn't really have much resemblance to Lust U Always, imo. That keyboard motif is not similar enough to me. Wish we had more info about what happened to Lust U Always in 87 and if he actually rerecorded it at some point. I replied without rechecking the book, assuming the OP did their homework and there's no mention of either tracks. Of course if the whole premise of the thread is wrong... There's an index in the book (word search on Kindle),maybe ypu can look it up? A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

Climax is and is noted as being from the summer of 83, he thinks but cannot confirm.

In other words, we know nothing of great substance about these two tracks other than tarot card-reading from the vault photographs. .

We only used those for general dating, mixing, and title confirmation on "Divinity" Don't dog on the guesses so hard. Those photos helped a lot with recent research... They may not seem like a lot to you but there's a lot of inaccuracies and dates that those pics cleared up, all that's needed is some dot connecting... Can't say much about Duane and PVault not wanting to ever mention his unreleased instrumentals in depth or at all (even going as far as deleting some pages for songs). Trust that my and SilentMikey's info is quite thorough... Maybe even a little better than Duane just typing what he read off of 30 year old work orders.
