Should the non music vault content stay locked up? [photos, sketches etc]

Prince was a liar! "I don't live in the past" was clearly BS [he always knew how to create the mystery & play on his image!] He was an avid hoarder & the glimpses in the book are genuinely heart warming & beautiful. However, these are intensley personal items & we will never know if he would have released any of it - I sincerely doubt if he would have?

So..the most important vault content for me & many others will always be the music - the same arguements can be made in terms of diving in & releasing its contents.

Personally I think most if not all non-music items should be stored away. Sure the P.Park tour needs clothes, hand written lyrics etc BUT is it time to draw a line at his most personal stuff?

Thoughts?

I don’t think holding items from the past makes him a liar... geez 🙄

I have kept earlier artwork that I created from when I was younger, but not because live in the past, but because there’s not only a memory, but it also shows my growth as an artist.

Prince also new what items like these prob meant to his fans. After all he was planning on having PP as a sort of museum for fans and he new he wouldn’t live forever.

It doesn’t matter if he would shared these with the public. His opportunity for that say is gone. If he didn’t want those items released he should have made a will but he didn’t. He said the universe did his will, so be it.

Just my thoughts đź’

Prince himself, was gathering items for the book. He was even calling Tyka, asking for pictures and family history.

If you want to complain about 'personal' items being released maybe you should start with some of the ASSociates, one of which is trying to sell his hair or the one that sold his Bible.

If you don't like it and your quasi-moral sensibilities are offended, don't buy it. Otherwise, it's not your business. The estate is doing what the court ordered them to do: monetize themselves, create a cash flow - a business. You ain't too far gone that you can't see that.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I think Prince knew very well that everything he had after his death would be shown the world, so I think if there really was something he didn't want us to see or get to know, he destroyed it at the time.

This is my thought.

Can we not have decorum here in this life, Jeez. Anything for a buck. Sad. no no no!

Good morning children...take a look out your window, the world is falling...

It wasn't his bible. It was a pocket bible that a Witness gave to him while he was on tour and it had no markings inside.
