Prince jazz group (not Madhouse)

Was re-listening to Questlove Supreme: The Purple Roundtable and towards the end they were talking about what they would like to see released. And Duane Tudahl mentioned he was thinking about doing a 85-86 book which would cover UTCM, Madhouse, Romance 1600 & Sheila E (album), The Flesh, Crystal Ball and jazz group called Here? Hear? Something about during Christmas? I tried searching but couldnt find.

Would someone be kind to name this jazz group they are talking about ? Many thanks!

The Flesh was the group you're thinking about. There was a slew of songs recorded in the last 2 or 3 days of December and early January 1985/6. Some were vocal, some were the instruments that have since leaked (eg: "Junk Music"). More here: http://princevault.com/in...=The_Flesh

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Many thanks. The Flesh was my initial thought. But Duane said The Flesh and then another jazz group so i thought it was something separate.

Thanks again for the assist.

Another jazz group is confusing, and he could have just been mistaken. The Flesh eventually morphed into Madhouse, for all intensive purposes.

That Flesh stuff leaked a year or two ago. All those "Groove in __ Major/Minor" type stuff. Great quality, too.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.
