Hi !

If i remember right , few years ago during a Prince Interview for Peach&Black Podcast (?) , Prince had declared that a 20 mn Long Version of ADORE fully unreleased do exist in the Vault . I wonder if any more details exist about this version ?

I feel for you, LoveGalore. It seems to be the unwritten rule here on Prince.org that there must, simply MUST, be a snarky comment within the first 5 posts. I grew tired of this a while ago and pretty much have stopped posting because of it. Folks must think that it's 'cute' to do so but they haven't snapped to the fact that it is keeping new members from joining, which in effect will cause Prince's legacy to disappear that much quicker. I'm sure there will be a snarky comment directed at me within 5 more posts........

I think the only 10+ minute Prince song I really enjoy from start to finish is the extended Computer Blue. Everything else seems to overstay its welcome, especially the full take of America.

I do love when people spring to cite or reference PrinceVault even when there's either dated or nonexistent content there. I think last week people were shooting out of their chairs, "PrinceVault, did you check PrinceVault?" "uhhmm, err, uh--DUH, PrinceVault." OP was like, this song isn't even on PrinceVault, guys.... Org'ers were steamrolling right past that and posting links to tracks with similar sounding titles. "There, PrinceVault."

I am tired of these people posting snarky comments because they can contribute nothing to the conversation. I personally think we need more people to post here not less because of the same five to ten jerks who try and shit on genuine questions. Yes, according to Prince via the Peach & Black Podcast, there is an 18-minute version (or longer, but I distinctly remember 18 minutes) of "Adore" in the vault as well as a 10-minute version or so of "The Ballad Of Dorothy Parker"

Closer to topic, I cannot even begin to imagine what a full-throttle, 20 minute version of "Adore" would sound like. Assuming he didn't just pick the "best" six minutes, and that the remaining 14 are as insane as the released version, I think my head would explode before I even got through it.

If real, would definitely fall into Holy Grail territory for me, and I assume many others.
