What if "Partyman (Purple Party Mix)" had been issued as the single version?

Arguably it would be critizied to be "more of the same" of Batdance and give fans a fear that other tracks from the Batman soundtrack would be reworked to sound like said track.

Feel U Up would've still been the B-side, or maybe it would've gone into "unreleased" status and was replaced by something else...

Aaron, I am unsure what you mean. Partyman (Purple Party Mix) was released on the single (12") for Partyman in 1989. Do you mean as a 7" single?

I mean, i'm imagining a Purple Party 7" mix that would be the main single version rather than the album version.

It would have had the about the same impact on the charts that the album version had. Maybe less.
