How can they be reissued when they weren't officially issued in the first place?

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Good to see Xpectation getting some love!

Exactly.

Because something charts on iTunes, that means Legacy or whoever is going to reissue them? None of those albums are even in the top 200, which makes the post feel trollish, again.

Two of those three were never issued on physical form in the first place, so it wouldn't even be a re-issue.

By the way, MTV is playing Purple Rain twice this weekend. Could mean they are putting the director's cut on bluray!

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

It s the first time I see any of these album charting. And they are charting the 3 of them.
.
And there are reissues since they were released on the Prince Music Club at the time.

These are no more trolling than 90% of the topics on the org.

Well, we LL see if it gets to be a clue or not.

Strange you didn't know these albums weren't bootlegs...They were all released by NPG Records and officially endorsed by Prince.
.

Slaughterhouse was released on march 29, 2004 , Xpectation on January 1, 2003, and ONA on May 14, 2002.

I'm sure she meant physically.

And I fail to see how an album or albums selling well on a specific platform is a hint about any future plans.

Why would Slaughterhouse get a Legacy issue before Chocolate Invasion? Surely they would be issued as a pair? At the very least Chocolate Invasion should get issued first.

Regardless, these NPGMC LPs are great. I'd love to add them all to my CD collection.

ONA did get a physical release.

Or do you mean it wasn´t released on a major label?

Is there even a director´s cut? With bonus footage or even a longer version? Does all that extra footage even exist, except for the trailer with the barn scene and the fight between Jellybean and Prince?

I believe the Tidal FLAC reissues or "issues" count in this day and age of primarily digital distribution... I feel like "physical" issues are only the be-all end-all here and here alone... many albums these days don't even get a physical release... Don't get me wrong, I'm ultimately with the org on this, but it's just the way things are.
