I need To know Why Would Prince

Re sgn with Warner Brothers after all the heartache they caused him? I just don't understand and do you think someone stole his will? I don't care how much " he didn't like signing things' He had to know once he got those masters back they would be gunning for him/ someone please give me some answers thanks guys

You mean all the money he made, the houses with in-home studios he bought, plus all the land around those houses, the Purple Rain house, Paisley Park, the Warehouse, all the cars in Paisley Park, the equipment... you mean all that heartache while at Warner Bros? Half of Prince's quasi-heartache was of his own doing, not WB. They were equally responsible for their own misery.

And let me give you some truth instead of that conspiracy-laden "gunning for him" bullshit: No one was gunning for him (whatever that means). He owned his masters when he died. He exclusively licensed them to WB for distribution. If you'd look on the labels, it now says "NPG Records, exclusively licensed to Warner Bros". NPG logo is above or before WB's, not after - for a reason.

Prince didn't have a will because he was foolish, not because he "didn't like signing things". It was a cute cover, but he was just blazé about shit like that... to everyone's dismay and confusion post-mortem.

Warner’s didn’t inflict heartache upon Prince, he inflicted it upon them. He signed the contracts and the he wanted out. He knew what was in the contracts when he signed them, but since he woke up in a new world everyday he decided he needed special treatment.

Different management, a different deal, a different time.

The Warner Bros of 2014, was not the same Warner Bros of 1993, although at least some similar problems soon resulted. Prince still retained his masters though, which was of paramount importance to him.
