Why does "Cream" always show up as "Cream (Without Rap Monologue)" on streaming services

...even if it's actually the same as the album/single version, which does have a rap monolgue? And what if the "rap monolgue" actually refers to the first telephone seque on the "remix" maxi-single?

That's how iTunes labels the version on "The Very Best of Prince" compliation album. I always wondered about that. The album version doesn't have a rap, does it? If fact, what version does have a rap?

Yup, Hayward Baker (nasty guy who whined that the home P bought for Mattie and him wasn't nice or large enough).

Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

At one point I recall seeing a 3:46 "no rap" on a rare promo CD with this name, not sure if it actually exists or if I was just having hallunications.

Has to be the explaination since the dialogue at the end of the maxi version is included on the same CD track, technically making it an alternate version.
