Controversy - Ending to the live performance

Hi everyone, I'm just working on a version of Controversy with my band and I wondering if anyone knew what chords Prince used to end the song.

It's something he had done with the song since the 80s; where Prince used to give a signal to finish the song and the band would start on the Ebm7-Db-B progression. Prince and the singers would follow the melody singing, "do, do-do, do do do" and then they would follow the chord changes as it built up to a final chord.

Does anyone know what that ascending pattern is?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
