Loving You

Hi there.

Is anyone here able to share any information about the track 'Loving You' from the Work It series ? I've exhausted my resources trying to find out when it was recorded, who played on it etc. There is surprisingly little info about it given that it's an unusual sounding track compared to everything else he's done.

Is it really him ?

Thanks.

Thank you but that is literally the first place I check always, I'm only asking because I've exhausted all other avenues. It won't change my life to find out more but t would be nice to know as I like to think I'm pretty familiar with his work but this track is a bit of a mystery.

The OP is refering to the track on the boot that isn't listed on princevault site, isn't I Spend My Time Loving You' but doesn't sound fake. It could be a mislabel. I have it in my mystery folder. Can anyone help?

That's right, it's not 'I Spend My Time Loving You' which is a great track when you consider he was only 17 or 18 when he recorded it. It would have sat well on For You. The track I'm referring to is more of an uptempo 70's rock track with quite a different sound for him, perhaps Dez wrote it ? In fact it almost sounds like an early precursor to Endorphinemachine.

This is a track from "The Rebels" sessions. As it's also listed as on the "Work It" series.

Recorded between 10 and 21 July 1979 at Mountain Ears Sound Studio in Boulder, Colorado.

It's not listed at PV but the sessions are. It's very likely written by Dez but why not ask him?

It might help if someone could be a bit more specific: How long is it? What are the vocals like? What are some of the lyrics? Why does it sound unusual?

I don't have a track with that title, but I sorted out all of the Work It material years ago, so I must have done something with it.

I have Loving You from Work It in my itunes, but when I listen to it, it turns out to be the Rebels version of Hard To Get.
