I am going to redo a room in my house with this color, but I can not find the exact formula or code number on the Pantone website.

Does anyone know the code number for it, so I can have the paint mixed to this color?

I only know the RGB values for use online: Red 85 Green 58 Blue 99

So if I give the paint store these numbers, they will be able to mix it for me?

Maybe? Stores have colors scanners, so if you can find the color on hardcopy somewhere, you can take it there and have it scanned and matched.

There are also a gazillion colors in hardware stores. Take the color and just match it by eye yourself. I did that with my bedroom. I emailed the head set designer for a movie I liked. She said the paint was custom, but it was close to Electric Blue from Sherman Williams (I think). It was too expensive, so I took the swatch to Home Depot and found an equal-quality but less expensive option.

If the RGB or the HTML or HEX work w/ the store, go for it. Call them first.

The color is a Pantone exclusive, meaning they aren't going to publicly post the mix required to achieve the color in paint or printing inks. I would think that any retail paint store that carries Pantone paint could mix the color for you "officially" by asking for it. If you want the color mixed for you with a different paint brand, I'd agree with TrivialPursuit - get a printed swatch of the color and have them scan it, then mix it for you. Getting a swatch would require visiting a store that sells Pantone paint, though, so it would just be a budget decision to get a swatch and have it scanned/mixed with another paint brand.

Thank you. I've searched the Pantone web site and I'm not coming up with it there either.

I actually want to paint my bathroom this color, but I went shopping tonight and it looks like I will have a hard time trying to match rugs and such with this color.

In general, I don't think you can get Pantone in paint because the original Pantone system is for print.

I went to that licensed paint site and searched for Love Symbol but they didn't have it, They probably ddint' include that in their "home and fashion" color set.

To be honest, I just painted something purple and I was considering using the "official" Prince color but I actually think it's a little "dull." Like it has too much gray in it.

I love Benjamin Moore. Their website and app are really fun to play with and you csn search tons of colors. But you can't tell for sure how it will look based on the computer.

So....I then ordered the colors at this site that delivers pre-made 2ftx2f sheets with actual pain (much easier than buying small sizes and pinting yourself).

I ended up painting over a pieece of furniture in a really deep, dark glossy purple and i can'at tell you how much I love it!!

If you still want the Official Prince color, In 2017 Benjamin Moore chose a color almost like the Prince Pantone color (I think in honor of him) called Shadow..

BTW if you don't want to spend as much $ for BenMoore, most paint stoors can lok up BJ colors in their conputer and match them (except for some special colros but the 2 above including Shadow seem to be the normal BJ colors).

I used to do this at Home Depot and they made excellent matches and their Behr paint is rated very highly and less expensive.

Home Depot also sells very small sample sizes that other places don't. But again, I found it much easier to order the 2x2 sheets from Samplize and i didn't even do the peel and stick, i just taped them to the wall and moved them around to different walls.

If you want Love Symbol I think Shadow is pretty close.
