If any fan thinks this is insane, well, then they would have to think Prince is insane too. Have you ever listened to his lyrics? They are laden with metaphsysical concepts that most would consider 'out there'.

Just a few of things below that you would have to think him insane for.

2. The Akashic Records mentioned on TRC album. Look up Akashic Records....THIS is the stuff he believed and was into.

4. Zero Point - "As zero point approaches, and the fields around us drop, thoughts become reality, and feels like time has stopped" He is talking about us entering the 4th dimension in this lyric, where thoughts are reality and time does not exist. Not my interpretation, this is a standard metaphysical concept for ages.

Some of Prince´s "metaphysical concepts" did bother me, especially between ca.1996-2002.

But at least he coated them with great music and to be honest, some his concepts sounded quite interesting, especially The War that was mentioned by you in your post above.

What gets on my nerve is when certain fans, not this author in particular but fans in general, try to be like Prince and use the same lingo, similar concepts or just plain gibberish for lack of such "concepts".

I once saw a similarly weird Prince book in an old bookstore in Minneapolis which looked as if it was selfmade or self-published but this one takes the cake.

The grammar is so bad that it got me interested in reading it but after Kim Berry´s atrocity of a book I need some time before I can even think of reading another one of those "books".

Yes.

Not sure if this is the same "Truth" but the story is true and the pic look a lot like her.

The Truth I'm referring to is Latina, about 5'6 with a JLo-type body, HUUUGE Prince fan and, like I said, a couple of fries short of a Happy Meal. Pretty much everything off of the checklist.

Through her... "association" with Prince, she was able to land a gig at one of the Crazy Horse locations.

Back to the concepts:

There are things that are whacky, but there are some things I believe he was forward thinking about when we look back. I'm soon publishing a lengthy essay/article about "One Song"'s monologue. I argue that January 1, 2000 - the day "One Song" showed up by itself on his website - was the real jump into Jehovah's Witness-isms. His monologue is an interesting commentary on how he was now seeing the world. Of course, I thought he was bonkers, but when I go back to it, I realize how much I agreed with him on a slight majority of his points. A lot of it was "what you think is what happens" or "you create your own reality" approach to life; all of which I think are in The Secret. I've worked hard on the essay, and I hope people find something interesting in it. I was really moved to talk about Prince's new concepts in life, and how he shook off traditions (while he adopted others, ironically enough) and approached his world differently.

I wouldn't mind digging into "The War" sometime as well, but this essay has taxed my eyeballs and my brain a bit.

As a note, I don't necessarily "time" exists. Clearly, the idea of hours or minutes or days is structured for man to count and track things. I don't believe that in reality time is anything. It's totally a construct of humankind. I do believe in God (not going religious here or anything) and I do believe that God doesn't live time. If God is omnipotent and omnipresent, then time would be an impossible state for it to exist. If God is eternal - has always existed and always will exist - then the opposite, that being man living in a time constructed world, ages and dies. (I sorta go into the spiritual death thing in the essay.)

I'm not fully clear on zero point, but from a layman's view, I sorta get where he's going. Might be something to learn about, whether I end up beileving it or not.
