Jacqueline Nicholson is back again...filed a Petition to Allow a Late Claim.

She says she still wants the 67 gold bars back that Prince gave her as a birthday gift.

Jacqueline also states it was impossible for her to make a claim before the deadling date of 9/6/2016 because she has no memory of her gift. She further states she has no memory of her relationship with Prince even though he was her fiance since 2007.

From her handwritten petition to allow a late claim...

_____________

I have a valid claim against this estate for: my birthday gift from Prince which included 67 gold bars, a birthday card and poem. These items were contained together in a box at Paisley Park for my safe keeping. The card and poem were hand-written by Prince and addressed to me. The significance of “67” was the year I was born. The card and poem hold infinite sentimental value to me. “BREMER” took it upon themselves to liquidate my gold (to the tune of 880K) soon after discovery. Therefore, I am simply asking for the return of my birthday card/poem. *Confirmation can be found in existing video footage.

I have failed to present my claim within the time provided by Minnesota Statutes section 524.3-803 because: It would have been an absolute impossibility for me to meet the set deadline of 9/6/2016 to make any claims against the estate as I had no memory of my gift. Further more, I had no memory of my relationship to Prince, who was my fiancé as of 2007. I suffer from complex PTSD/dissociation which under severe emotional grief and distress left me in a a state of amnesia.

*conformation is found in my medical records.

Just to be technical, I believe there's a difference. This woman is bonkers. She lives in a fantasy world. It reminds me of the woman who talked about someone stealing her Chinese food and Kirk or Prince's people breaking into her home, and something about Michael Jordan. That's obsession and fantasy.

There are vultures who are just out for money and try to prove something that doesn't exist. Those are found out quickly. But the crazy stinks from afar. It's hard to stay up wind from it.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

PURPLE ALERT: Paisley Park operations will be transitioning from P. Park/Graceland to the Estate. As for when it will take effect, either September 1st or October 2nd. Most likely October. No further details at this time. Bottom line: Graceland is out.

Prince's estate to assume management of Paisley Park

Graceland Holdings will no longer run the Chanhassen museum as of Oct. 1.

http://www.startribune.co...X9by205u_M

Elvis has left the building. Paisley Park, that is.

After running Prince’s studio complex as a museum since October 2016, Graceland Holdings — which operates Elvis Presley’s Graceland mega-tourist attraction in Memphis — will no longer oversee Paisley as of Oct. 1. Prince’s estate will be in charge of running the Chanhassen landmark.

“It was always the intent for the family to take over,” said Joel Weinshanker, New York-based managing partner of P Park Management Inc., which was created by Graceland Holdings in 2016. “It’s always been my desire for the heirs’ voice to become louder and louder.”

Sharon Nelson, the oldest of Prince’s six surviving siblings, said the change was not because of unhappiness or economic reasons. The contract expired.

I have visited Paisley Park multiple times since Prince passing, as a museum. And I for one am glad that Graceland is no longer is going to be in charge! I am looking forward to the family taking over the duties! Hopefully, the new directors of PP, who actually knew Prince and his wishes, will bring the magic back into Prince's home for the fans!

I wonder if they will continue to catalogue his clothes, jewlery etc? It seems Graceland was only finished with 7% 2 years ago (or so) as it is a painstaking process. They said clothes were piled high in the garage and needed to be cleaned, photographed, catalogued and packed in acid-free tissue paper.

This is about dysfunction. The Estate is not going to run Paisley Park. They/Comerica will have to get another entity (like Graceland) to run it so don't believe the spin. Graceland left because it was a sh** show. I posted the following two reviews during the Celebration this year that forecasted this:

https://prince.org/msg/2/4529227

"I have seen businnesses just before they shut down. Paisley Park wont be here in its current status much longer. I am glad I came because things dont look good for the future. I think the people who run it are doing the best they can but there is so much dysfunction with the estate that they cannot run the place effectively. This sh**t show will get worse when the heirs take over."

https://prince.org/msg/2/459254

"Get to Paisley while you can. ONce Graceland recoups their investment, they will be gone like thieves in the night. The place will become a shit show when the heirs get involved. If you don't believe me check the newest location of that hideous urn today. I give the event a D overall and an F for VIP. Again, this is not Graceland's fault ande I'm not being contrarian."

I did the ultimate exp tour in July and I was really blown away. Just when I visited Graceland years ago. Seemed like a good running business. No complaints. Only maybe the security who acted like they were defending the White House. eek
Just too bad no pictures were allowed which seemed strange because pictures of the interior are all over the web.

This IS about the Estate.

Well, yes it is. But I was looking for the latest news on Paisley Park on here, and it took me ages to find it. Surely if this news item doesn't deserve its own post, then Paisley Park does. Some people may want to hear the latest on what's happening with PP without having to trawl through a ton of estate stuff.

I agree, although I understand Luv4U's position that this is about the estate.

Luv4U - would adding "Paisley Park Update" or something like that to this thread title be helpful?

So frustrating!

Rather than being able to discuss individual topics, posts are buried in long threads that are barely searchable.

Rather than these multiple stickies, why wasn't THE ESTATE organized into its own FORUM? Then, we could see individual, interesting discussions.

Was it not the Estate that engaged Gracelands to manage Paisley Park?

Maybe the contract is up and the Estate are merely going to appoint a new events manager.

Once again, there is not a competent, caring person at the helm

Priscilla Presley and her daughter have sold off everything but the Graceland estate itself (and the daughter is claiming she's broke). The rest was a circus-like strip mall across the street.

Look at what Paisley is bringing in, weekly, on the tours. They are mostly sold out (especially the $160 x 15 people = $2400 tour which is held at least twice a day, three times a week). Add in the GA and VIP tours, plus the PPAD events, and there has to be enough to keep it operational. Unless Graceland is taking too much off the top.

I am HAPPY that Graceland's contract is not being renewed. They have not run any special exhibitions to bring people back again. imagine what could be done if they had a guitar exhibition in the sound stage. Two automobiles and some clothing arrayed on the soundstage with a lot of empty space in the4 center.
The Super Bowl performance is hardly visible in the gift shop as you're leaving. THAT should be as important as the films.

They had a jokey. ridiculous emcee'd dance contest at PPAD where the chosen dancers were not all rewarded despite fun being made of them.

Comerica can bring in an executive manager. Graceland helped them get started but they can improve on that now.

I don't know a lot about Graceland. Is it still popular? Is it profitable?

All I care about with PP is that they find a way to keep it in the hands of the estate. Whether it's a museum or something else I don't care. Do whatever is necessary to pay the bills and keep it alive.
