I thought he looked pretty good in '86 and '91 during the Parade and D&P eras respectively. The Typhoon pompadour thing looked pretty good on him until it turned into a mushroom by 1993.

For me, the dude was his most flyest during the Musicology/3121 era. I loved the suits and cuff links.

All of them because I loved how he was always changing his look/style.

Mushroom, LOL! At first I didn't really care for that look a whole lot but then it grew on me after seeing more pics. I thought he really looked sexy during The Undertaker film in 1993. I liked that Dracula/Edward Scissorhands/Dark Shadows type look-dark, sexy rocker badass look, sorta like the 3rdEyeGirl era too, loved the afro/throwback style. However, the 90's after D&P the looks were hit and miss for me because I thought he looked miserable alot during that time, but there were still a few nice moments then. He was always sexy to me though and was cool changing up things.

As a straight guy, maybe I have a different perspective. If there was a period where I thought he looked 'coolest' or I was most envious of, it would be a period covered with very few photo shoots, 1989. He trimmed the hair a little after Lovesexy, but hadn't yet gone full Graffiti Bridge (which was also a good look).

I took my girlfriend at the time to the Nude tour, front row. She wasn't a big Prince fan at the time, but once Prince had plopped himself on the stage right in front of her and did 'electric man', she was a convert and I regret introducing her to Prince in the flesh. I went to all 19 nights (in London). She went from a non-fan to attending 5 of the nights with me. Enough said!

He was sexy all the time but I like the SOTT era.

Dirty Mind was nice; Controvery tour a bit better; 1999 album era was great; 1986 tour exquisite; and 2004 with the pink polka dotted shirt was also a high point. He was the sexiest person on the planet for about 30 years - what a treat thank you Prince.

I have honestly loved all his looks, but I will say that I didn't care for the short fro. The longer fro was much sexier. I do love the Graffitti Bridge and Diamonds and Pearl era a lot as well. He was just so damn sexy no matter what he looked like.

Thanks for posting all the pics guys, love them! Something about the 2009 Montreaux pics and the Lovesexy/Batman/Grafitti Bridge pics, I especially melt. Good grief he was always so fine, makes it hard to choose I tell ya.

i'm gonna say parade because i just got lucky and found a tshirt at goodwill with the album picture on it. it was the second t-shirt I looked at, it was meant to be.

He wore that trench quite a bit during the parade tour. He's got it on in the America video. Sort of his signature style/look that year - lycra crop top w/ matching pants (black or a color), gold chains around the waist (although he wore these off and on since he started), trench coat or that black sequened jacket, and the black Ray Ban sunglasses. Then he would throw off the trench coat during the first or second song. Always this look or he would wear a pastel or bright colored tailored suit (with giant shoulder pads, after all, it was the 80's!) with the sun glasses.

I agree about the short fro. The long one was sexier. He looked so different with the long fro, too, than the many years prior. He was sexy though. Some of his latest stage performances...wow, did he move sexy with that whole fro thing goin on.

How the hell did you just casually find a t-shirt like that?? I always keep my eyes peeled, but I've had no luck yet. I'm jealous, lol

it was providence, i often go to goodwill when i know i'm going to need some expendable clothes for some paint job or labor job, had no plans to find the shirt which i may not wear at all, like i say, out of all the shirts it was the second one I saw. I've seen a couple guys with the purple rain t's lately, i'd like to know where they got those.
