Anyone here a fan of XTC and/or Yes? If so, have you gotten the Steven Wilson remix sets of any of their albums? HOLY CRAP, are they spectacular. Wilson has a magician's touch with bringing out the best, clearest sound from every multi-track. He's a prolific musician himself, and I think that helps him with balancing the instrumentation and vocals.

Also, whoever did the Japanese remasters of Queen's discography should get a Nobel prizel. Even in my car stereo, with all the road noise, the songs sound brighter and more expansive than they ever did before.

So I'm hoping that the Estate gets someone who knows what they're doing to handle the remastering. It's not just bumping up the volume... it's important to go back to the original tapes (multi-tracks if you can get them!) and do everything from the ground up.

Totally agree...I truly hope they put real effort into this and paid the right people. Whatever they did to 'Baby You're A Trip'....more pls! I do have a vinyl rip of 1999 that was so much better than the CD ..i was shocked. I heard guitar licks in Lady Cab Driver I'd never heard. I really hope to get a great remaster of 1999.

I know it's unlikely, but I really hope the outtakes are the original mixes. As nice as the Bolas mixes were on Originals, combining different versions and using monophonic reverb really spoiled it for me.

Isn't it weird that the dvd show ends with Head? I know that's how the show went down but that's weird he chose to close with Head.

Oh, yeah! I think my Orginals from Amazon was a few days late. But I already had the songs thaks to Tidal.

If mine is late on Amazon I am not sure what I would do!

I bought the deluxe Purple Rain with DVD in store at Best Buy the day of release.

Of course, I don't think Best Buy still has CDs. Target should have the complete version though.

just for the record, Grundman did remaster the 2011 vinyl+24/96 remasters... just for future knowledge in case anyone wants to break some furniture when we find out which Ph.D in volume maximization is doing the 2019 set.
