. Please bear in mind that you are speaking from a position of common sense and rational logic. The average outrage journalist is either wilfully or genuinely ignorant when it comes to matters of nuance, artistic expression or the divide between reality and fiction. The last thing any company needs right now is pitch forks and pussy hats at dawn. They'll never hear the end of it.

Yeah omissions that we shouldn't even know about aside this is exactly the kind of thing we've been whining for.
And the price is a steal!! Queen are releasing a Freddie Mercury set of 3 cds, a book and a dvd and bluray (of same material) and there are ZERO unreleased songs other than some remixing for $119.99 (at the moment) https://www.amazon.com/Ne...amp;sr=8-1

I just happily dropped $270 with Amazon to pre-order the Super Deluxe version of 1999. I want the Estate to be delighted by the initial interest so they move greedily ahead with Deluxe versions of DIRTY MIND and CONTROVERSY and PARADE, etc.
1999 is in mega desparate need of a re-master, top to bottom. To hear a brightened, sharp mix of my favorite songs in the world after decades of soupy muddiness is going to be, frankly, incredible.
One thing that's interesting from the song list of the 1999 era Vault tunes. There's nothing 'new' in there that we don't at least know about. 'New' in that we aren't being shocked by song titles that no one has ever heard about or catalogued before. For example, when PURPLE RAIN Deluxe came out many of us where puzzled by the song title "Love & Sex". There's nothing like that here...
It appears that what is listed and known in the Vault section is pretty much all there is... Do you guys agree?

Make no mistake. I'm a day one purchaser and am extremely excited about this, even with the now omitted tracks due to....... Ugh.....
No question. Kudos to the estate for getting this sorted.
One thing I haven't seen many/any comments about is the no 5.1 mix. I, for one, would kill to have an isolated Prince vocal in the center, with the assorted instrumentation bouncing around the room. [Edited 9/11/19 7:05am]

The Purple Politicians should take the credit for breaking this news. Their video was full of true facts, not just conjecture with claims that were false. "Jerk Out". Their follow up video was also minus the bragging of other sources that must now be considered unreliable.

Omg they really are including Vagina lol. I've always wanted to hear it. I'm really happy that we will get Purple Music in a remastered form, but I still think they could have included Xtralovable, maybe with a disclaimer about the polemic lyrics. I mean, pretending people didn't sing about those things won't make them go away, it could have been handled in a pedagogical way instead of just being left out.

jaypotton said: Extraloveable is a great song but I imagine any archivist going through vault and hearing the rape lyric would just go "no, just no". Heck even Prince left it in the vault and re-recorded it before releasing it. Much as I am a completist I am not that bothered by it being excluded. To All: Any chance they are hidden tracks?

People got their knickers in a twist about the version of Possessed on Purple Rain set and now we get the version they wanted. For all we know Extraloveable could be earmarked for another release.

. I'm a bit disappointed too by the missing songs: Wonderful Ass (original) and Raspberry Beret (original), but it does look like a great release! Paisley Park is in your heart - Love Is Here!

Why is there a link to the Violet Reality video which is full of misinformation on the first post? That surely should be removed.

Pre-ordered the deluxe CD edition and can't wait for November. I hope WB puts out as much material as possible in the short time this distribution deal is still active.
Maybe, just maybe, WB can include ExtraLovable as a part of a "demos" collection.

I've stepped into this debate without really wanting to. I think there are good arguments on both sides, and frankly I'm ambivalent about the song and whether it should be released. But the more I think about it, the closer I come to the opinion that we are not owed Extraloveable, and that its absence here shouldn't detract from a great set. It might just be that now is not the most opportune moment for the song to be heard.

HitnRun Volumes 1 and 2 complete sessions boxset, earmarked for a 2035 anniversary edition, along with the Andy Allo rap version and the version without her rap but also without the horns.

I'll nab the deluxe CD set asap. What a great release. My own complaint about this is the lack of "1999," remix or extended version. I've always wondered if there was one out there and, while this shouldn't be taken as the 1999 studio sessions in the entirety, it's a mark against that hope. Oh well. I'm ready for this thing though!!

Maybe there are legal issues with extra lovable due to its release on hit n run and sony owning the rights ... or maybe they will release it as a 45 during a vikings game

That's ALL U can pick out of ALL of that I wrote?! That I slightly miscounted one of my musical heroes MANY almost 40 albums he released in his lifetime? Then stop me from re-editing it? "That mountain top situation is not really what it's all cracked up 2 B when was doing the Purple Rain tour had a lot of people who knew 'll never c again @ the concerts.just screamin n places they thought they was suppose 2 scream."
