Prince Tokyo Live

Hi all prince in tokyo the one were hes wearing the white shirt with japanese writing on the collar is my favourite version of purple rain but the picture quality was pretty poor however just seen a version of question of you which is far highter picture quality and from the same show was just wondering if the gig was filmed in actual film and if there was a release?

Are you talking about the Nude Tour at the Tokyo Dome?

If so, "this show was broadcast on Japanese tv SaZaLe a few weeks after the show", and is widely traded amongst fans and available as a bootleg. The audio is even easy to get as one of those semi-legal "loophole" bootlegs that are all over Amazon and other legit retailers.

Several different edits were aired on TV across the world, that's it.

Some of the bootlegs are readily available on Amazon due to the broadcast "loophole".

That explains a lot. I often wondered why those dodgy albums kept floating around legitimate stores. Often very reputable companies as well. I only started noticing them after Prince passed away.

I just assumed that quality control wasn't being enforced.

Don't buy them. They might be "legal", maybe, but they're for sure not official. Treat them like bootlegs and find them free online instead of paying for them.

The fact that they only appeared after he died show how thin the loophole. They didn't dare it when he was alive.

Wolfie87

He played piano, majestically walked onto the piano, played a hell of a solo, licked his guitar pick, threw it to a groupie, disappears, appears again dancing like a ballerina, does some pole dancing, simulates oral sex. All in one take, live... In Tokyo. And he's ranked at 27 in rolling Stones greatest artists ever. How the HELL is he not #1. The Question of U. Holy shit that's unbelievable.

I saw The Nude Tour in Cork. Ireland. And the Tokyo broadcast was great. Question of you alone makes it a 10. Teere are loads of boots out there. I have the Irish one 'Celtic Nude' too but the Tokyo one kicks its ass. But the joy of Cork and to have the audio too. Love it.

He also slipped on the ramp and fell in Ireland. Oh my heart. But he got up an like a pro. Carried on. A star.

Looking for a new man. Freaks need not apply. Freeeks can tho ;-p
