Originals CD Liner Notes

In the booklet I noticed that all the associated artists are in CAPITAL letters except for Mazarati. Simple typing error? Also some of the album credits have been left out - Apollonia 6, Ice Cream Castles, A Different Light, Mazarati, What Time Is It?, Martika's Kitchen, and Noon Rendezvous is credited to The Glamorous Life but the song G Life isn't. Sloppy!

it looks more like a choice rather than an error. they are all listed as being released as singles with thier release date and a chart position showing. the ones that werent singles are simply listed as being from whatever album it appeared on. as for Mazarati not being in all caps, most liekly an error.

I'm a graphic designer, so this kind of stuff drives me nuts!

One thing I noticed, long before I even had the CD for myself, is on the back cover. On most of the songs, there are two spaces after the number/period. Then, some have 1 space after the number/period.

Then 100MPH and Holly Rock seem to have THREE spaces after the number/period.

WHY?!!!

Maybe the estate couldn't afford a proofreader. shrug

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Did you hear that there is an extra track on Originals CDs purchased at Target??

https://www.target.com/p/...A-54646389

'Nothing Compares 2 U' (cinematic mix)

Would have put this on a different thread if I'd been thinking since it has nothing to do with liner notes.

Because Kenny Rogers was HUGE in the 70s and 80s.

Because he asked and Prince is a nice guy and recognizes an established talent like Kenny Rogers? Why is it some big mystery? "Of all people"? Kenny Rogers was untouchable in the 70s and 80s. He and Lionel Richie had a great synergy working and writing together, recording songs. In fact, when Richie released his duets album, Tuskegee, he got Rogers to sing on the song they originally worked on together, finally dueting on it. It was a perfect song for Rogers, and one of my favorite Prince penned songs, and a favorite Rogers song, too.

Do your homework.
