Apollonia's trying to steal Shelia's gimmick of saying crazy shit in interviews.

Despite the lack of success for Graffiti Bridge, which Kotero turned down because she said the script was “poop,” Prince continued to make hits for himself and others.

hmmm was Apollonia really asked to be in Graffiti Bridge?

I think they mixed up the old story about Madonna saying it was "shit".

We need more Peggy McCreary. A well done documentary with his Engineers and rare studio footage would be my dream.

What did she say that was crazy? She is just relaying what her and Prince talked about during that specific night/time period. If you have evidence that shows these conversations never took place, I would be happy to give it a look.

I enjoyed that article. Glad to see the legs that this release has had across the music community.

(Insert something clever here)

same here.

I thought Susannah's observation that Prince's songs were like his children was telling. Although it made me sad, knowing that Prince always wanted children of his own, I can see this being the case with his songs. He truly nurtured them and they were a part of him for his entire career, not put away and forgotten.

I also want to hear the house/dance album that Apollonia says is in the vault.

I don't know, if my father locked me up in a vault for 40 years, I would be pissed.

The whole notion of songs being akin to children is ridiculous.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Love this:

<Hoffs fondly remembers a gig at San Francisco’s Warfield and a jam at Sunset Sound studio that went until three in the morning. “He just wanted to play Bangles songs,” she recalls. “And he knew them all.”>

The whole getting the girls back together for an Apollonia 6 reunion, replete with new music, seems highly unlikely. He was either gassing her, or not in a good state.

And no mention of her "Prince was murdered" conspiracy theories? Has she changed her mind about Kirk?

Saying that Prince sang the melody to When Doves Cry into her answering machine and materialized behind her to steal the tape is pretty crazy. Same with taking credit for The Bangles being given Manic Monday.

Considering he had his assistant wire something like 15 grand to the girls shortly after his overdose, I'm guessing really not in a good state.

He was also saying the same things to Jesse Johnson and Morris Day.

Prince listens to women he is enamoured with, he writes songs for them, gives songs to them, it very well could have went down exactly as she said. So being enamoured with both Apples and The Bangles themselves, it is not a stretch.

Also, there are many stories of Prince seemingly materializing out of thin air, or disappearing in a split second, both in articles and in video, that has been a common theme since the 80's right up until he passed. Does it mean he had otherworldly powers? Probably not, it most likely just means these people had their guard down at the time, so that is how they perceived it.

Apples never specifically mentioned Kirk by name.

Maybe RS decided not to print her conspiracy theories??
