Of course they all play a role to a degree but when you're from bumfuck minnesota and you talk like you're from oklahoma, it's kinda transparent.

How does someone from Oklahoma talk?

Not being a smartass. I'm an Oklahoman, and I just wondered how you justified your assesment of a whole state of people. PS Oklahomans don't talk like Woody fucking Guthrie. Stay in your lane.

I just asked the question what you thought Oklahmans talked or sounded like. You apparently think they all sound like Woody Guthrie. So, good for you. :::slow clap:::

Would you say that to a black person you just called a n***er?

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Please, please, PLEASE experiment with that. Preferably somewhere I can watch you get your ass handed to you.

gene, i have been around pro fighters, would have been one myself if I wasn't as dumb as they are, so you wouldn't want to see that, yes, that's right, sparred with champions, worked with champions, was told by champions that I could make money so if I call someone the n word, it wouldn't be something for me to worry about unless they had a weapon. but my point is, the kids today call everyone that, i've gotten called that in the last two near fights I've had with black guys, both were just pussy's but they covered it up with a lot of that screaming the n word. and stop being mad at the tiffs we've had, I don't worry about, you shouldn't either.

I personally think Prince's true genius was in writing and constructing rhythms and beats.

Oh, I see. Perfectly all right to be a racist/classist/generally offensive asshole as long as you can beat someone up. You're a real peach.

Apologies - i am sure this has been debated to death BUT it just popped into my head & so I wanted to share!

I just can't get my head around this. When you sit back & compare the sheer volume & the different styles of song writing he came up with compared to the truly great song writers of all time. The greatest song writers wrote mostly in one style. This older Rolling Stone list puts P in at 18 with Bob Dylan at number 1 !

https://www.rollingstone....ongwriters

Appreciate its all a matter of opinion BUT lets take the subject of Love..seriously how many ways did he describe every aspect of love from the sensual to the sexual at every tempo & in every style.

Again, there's not a single writer on that incredible list that I would put ahead of Prince & that includes Lennon & McCartney.

All that matters is whether he was the greatest to you ...

... other people's opinions are simply that, and the sooner you learn that other people's opinions shouldn't matter to you, the happier you'll be.
